Summary The aims of this review are to: (1) Identify the various phases and their characteristics KEY WORDS throughout the historical development of the water polo game. (2) Explore the impact Water Polo History of changes in rules of the game on the technical-tactical structure of the current water Water Polo Future polo game. (3) Explore the impact of the technical-tactical structure of the water Technical-Tactical Structure polo game which has led to change in the rules of the game historically.(4) Identify Water Polo Rules possible directions for the next change of rules and development of technical-tactical structure of the water polo game. There were five distinct development stages of water polo through its history, and there will probably be another one in future. Each time the various changes in the rules of the game influenced changes to the structure of the technical and tactical game. However, in some periods the reverse happened and the technical and tactical changes in the way the game was coached and played led to changes in the rules of the game. -
2.1Sport and Leisure Time
2.1 SPORT AND LEISURE TIME There are a large number of sports that involve the water. Here we present the most popular in the countries involved in the project. SWIMMING The recreational activity of swimming has been recorded since prehistoric times. Although humans have been swimming for thousands of years, swimming only became a competitive sport in the early 1800s. Today, swimming is the third most-watched sport in the Olympic Games. In 1828, the first indoor swimming pool, St George's Baths was opened to the public. Competitive swimming became popular in the nineteenth century. Swimming is an event at the Summer Olympic Games, where male and female athletes compete in 16 of the recognized events each. Olympic events are held in a 50-meter pool, called a long course pool. In competitive swimming, four major styles have been established. Butterfly (fly) Backstroke (back) Breaststroke (breast) Freestyle (free) In open water swimming, where the events are swum in a body of open water (lake or sea), there are also 5 km, 10 km and 25 km events for men and women. SYNCHRONIZED SWIMMING It is a hybrid form of swimming, dance and gymnastics, consisting of swimmers (either solos, duets, trios, combos, or teams) performing a synchronized 114 routine of elaborate moves in the water, accompanied by music. Competitors show off their strength, flexibility, and aerobic endurance required to performing difficult routines. Swimmers perform two routines for the judges, one technical and one free, as well as age group routines and figures. The origin - in 1933 & 1934, Katherine Whitney Curtis organized a show, "The Kay Curtis Modern Mermaids," for the World Exhibition in Chicago. -

As part of the FINA Development Programme, FINA is currently running clinics to train coaches in each of the six aquatic disciplines: swimming, open water swimming, artistic swimming, water polo, diving and high diving and to train officials in swimming. Both training programmes, respectively conducted by highly experienced coaches and officials appointed by FINA, are designed to educate and train coaches and swimming officials around the world. With this initiative, FINA offers to its 209 affiliated national federations the opportunity to successfully develop the aquatic sports in their countries. Objective The FINA Clinics for Coaches and FINA Swimming Clinics for Officials are intended to provide basic training for participants of all levels through courses led by an expert nominated by FINA. -

Authorized betting list A) Basic Rules concerning the list: - When the qualifications for an event are not mentioned in the list, then betting on the qualifications is not allowed. - Name of the competitions is only mentioned when it differs from the name of the level of the competition. - Regarding events that involve a women’s competition as well as a men’s competition, betting on the women’s competition is only allowed when it is mentioned (under the name of the events or the particularities). - Betting is allowed pre-Match and Live (granted the operator holds a decision allowing it to offer live sports betting).1 - For national championships in the list that involve a relegation group structure, bets are still allowed on the relegation group encounters. - On opposite, bets are not allowed on promotion group play that only involves teams from a division that is not mentioned in the list. - For national championships, Promotion/Relegation encounters where teams from a division mentioned in the list play against the best teams from the division directly inferior to it are allowed. - Bets on encounters in a friendly tournament of football that is not named in this document are allowed if they respect the restrictions stated under football / friendly games / club in the list. - Regarding events where the participants are timed (ex: alpine downhill skiing, mechanical sports, etc.); bets on training runs are never allowed. - Bets on rankings are never allowed except : a) If the ranking itself grants entry to an international Cup (ex : UEFA Europa League in football) b) If the ranking itself grants entry to an international competition mentioned in the list; ex : rankings (depending on which continent a team represents) in the 2019 Basketball World Cup will be decisive for 7 (out of 12) qualificative spots for the 2020 Olympic Tournament. -

FUTURE FOR WATERPOLO DEVELOPMENT PROJECT FOR WATERPOLO IN 5 CONTINENTS INTRODUCTION PROJECTS and EXPECTATIONS, sent to you by email on 4 April, is the document has given rise to foundation of WATERPOLO PEOPLE and the event «A future for water polo», held in Naples in June 2014. The work done by WATERPOLO PEOPLE consists of two parts: the VISION presented during the workshop in Naples and the DEVELOPMENT PROJECT realized after the informal meeting held in Lausanne, on 14 November 2014, with FINA Chief Executive Cornel Marcuelscu and TWPC President Gianni Lonzi. • WATERPOLO VISION is an X-ray on the status of water polo in the world containing both comments on the critical issues and the positive factors of our sport. It’s the result of a serene rereading of innumerable projects that have presented for over 40 years by people of a variety of professions and also by a study realized by an important marketing and communication agency. Most of these DEVELOPMENT POSSIBILITIES have never been realized or realized only part but, to this day, have not improved the popularity of water polo. • The DEVELOPMENT PROJECT, to be developed in 4 phases of intervention, describes PROPOSING SOLUTIONS (to achieve in short- middle - long term) that may be more or less accepted, but they will have to be decided by FINA with the collaboration of TWPC, any other FINA Commissions and possible collaborations, if appropriate to the development of the intervention. USMS SPECIAL ASSIGNMENTS & LIAISON REPORTS CONTROLLER – Margaret Bayless I officially commenced as USMS Controller on March 1, 2004. During February, I traveled to Washington DC for a handover weekend with Cathy Pennington. Doug Church, Treasurer, also joined us for a good portion of the weekend. Cathy and I had a follow-up meeting in late May. As a result of these meetings, I prepared a Controller’s Manual to help memorialize in detail many of the tasks associated with the Controller position. During the time I have been Controller, the 2003 books have been closed, and have been submitted to the independent auditors for their review. The auditor’s report will be completed in time to be included in the Convention information package. The 2003 tax return is on extension, although it is mostly completed, and awaiting confirmation of final financial results from the auditors prior to filing. The 2003 full-year financial statements and the monthly financial statements for each of January – May 2004 have been submitted with commentary to the EC and Finance Committee. The non-year-end monthly financial statements are generally issued in the third or fourth week of the following month, after receipt of the final monthly registration report from the National Office. The 2003 full-year and the 2004 first quarter reports of expenses have been submitted to the respective committee heads and officers. The non-year-end quarterly reports of expenses are generally distributed via email by the 15th of the month following each quarter-end. Checks are prepared and mailed every week; each Friday morning, I submit a check request report to Doug, who prepares and mails the checks. -
Record Application for European Masters Records
RECORD APPLICATION FOR EUROPEAN MASTERS RECORDS European Masters Records are recognised for men and women in 50 metre and 25 metre courses in accordance with LEN General Event Rules E 5. In relays all members of a team must be from the same club. European Masters Records can only be established in Masters meets sanctioned by Members of LEN or FINA. The length of each lane of the course must be certified by a surveyor or other qualified official appointed or approved by the National Swimming Federation. European Masters Records will be accepted only when times are reported by Automatic Officiating Equipment, or Semi Automatic Officiating Equipment, or Manual Timing taken by three appointed timekeepers. The timing shall be registered by 1/100 of a second. Times which are equal to 1/100 of a second will be recognised as equal records and swimmers achieving these equal times will be joint holders. Only the time of the winner of a race may be submitted for a European Masters Record. In the event of a tie in a record setting race, each swimmer who tied shall be considered a winner. The first swimmer in a relay may apply for a European Masters Record. Should the first swimmer in a relay team complete his distance in a record time in accordance with the provisions of this subsection, his performance shall not be nullified by any subsequent disqualification of his relay team for violation occurring after his distance has been completed. Applications for European Masters Records must be made on a LEN Official Application Form by the responsible authority of the organising or management committee of the competition and signed by an authorised representative of the relevant Swimming Federation. -

Considerable steps were made towards achieving our vision of “Aquatics for Everyone for Life”. We not only delivered outstanding performances at local, regional, national, and international events but sustained the focus on our core governance policies including, financial stability, resilience, equality, inclusivity, welfare and safeguarding. Whilst our clubs and members are the beating heart of their own communities, as the responsible NGB, they also remain at the very centre of why we do what we do. This means we are committed to absolute inclusivity and flexibility in our approach to the advancement of aquatics, and in all our discussions with members, volunteers, clubs, and partners. Over 17% of the population in Wales, some 400,000 adults and 100,000 children, were engaged in swimming, learn-to-swim, or aquatic activity, at least once a week pre-lock down. However, one of our greatest strengths is the huge breadth of our aquatic activities, from learn-to-swim right up to our elite performance champions.
