Monday 25th August Sissinghurst Fete, Jubilee Field,The Street, Sissinghurst 1.00 to 5.00pm Betty Curtin and Jean Shill will be running a cake stall and the proceeds will be in aid of our parish. We need lots of homemade cakes and jams. This is a really fun filled, old fashioned fete, lots of games, stalls and a dog show, do come along. Please ring Betty 01622-831825 or Jean on 01580- 753841 if you can donate cakes, either bring them to church on Saturday or Sunday, or to the fete.

Sunday 31st August Parish Barbecue In the garden at Goudhurst after the 10.30am mass. Time: 12.00 to 2.00pm. Cost: Adults £4.00, children £2.00. A raffle in aid of Heart of Kenya. Please bring drinks and puddings to share.

St Augustine’s Church Food Bank in Tunbridge Wells They still need: - TINS including, fish; meat; vegetables; beans, etc (but not chick peas); mushy peas; kidney beans; soup; spaghetti; & macaroni cheese. Tinned fruit; rice pudding; custard; instant noodles; tea; coffee and sugar (not large /catering sizes). Please check goods are in date. We can take the goods for you, or you can take it on a weekday between 10.00am to 4.00pm to St Augustine’s, Crescent Road, Tunbridge Wells.

The Goudhurst & Lunch Club is run for elderly people living alone who would welcome the opportunity to share a delicious, home-cooked hot meal and a chat. We meet on two Mondays a month at 12.30pm (till 2pm) in the Goudhurst Village Hall, by the pond. (There is no obligation to come every time!) The cost of the lunch is £4 and lifts can be arranged if necessary. Heart of Kenya (orphans) Thank you for all your donations. Last week we were able to send £1450, (this included £1000 generously donated by The Catriona Hargreaves Charitable Trust), to Father Thomas Kyallo to supply food and support for the children & families of those with HIV aids in the Mututini Parish in Machakos, Kenya.
