The Sequoias offers a full life, said Bob Rutherford, a resident and the master of ceremonies for the event. “A full life means that a person lives here and their lives progress from one step to another. It’s all here,” he said. “The (facilities) themselves, now that they’re done, become unimportant. It is what happens within them that’s important.” The Lodge, which opened in November 2007, offers assisted living for 26 on two floors, each with its own kitchen. Residents can outfit their rooms with their own furniture, Mr. Rutherford said.
