IBM United States Software Announcement 220-271 IBM is a registered trademark of International Business Machines Corporation 1 Application Delivery Foundation for z/OS and its constituent tools are made available through the continuous delivery support model, where continuous delivery updates are applied as cumulative program temporary fixes. These offerings and program temporary fixes are available on Shopz with client updates available on the Mainframe DEV website. Key requirements One of the following z/OS releases is required: • z/OS V2.2 • z/OS V2.3 • z/OS V2.4 For details, see the Hardware requirements and Software requirements sections. Planned availability date June 12, 2020: • IBM Explorer for z/OS, V3.1.1 • IBM Debug for z/OS, V14.2.3 • IBM Developer for z/OS Enterprise Edition V14.2.3 • IBM Application Delivery Foundation for z/OS, V3.2.2 June 19, 2020: IBM Explorer for z/OS, V3.2.0 Description IBM Explorer for z/OS, V3.1.1.26 enhancements All products included in Application Delivery Foundation for z/OS, V3.2.2 are built on the IBM Explorer for z/OS, V3.1.1 platform, which is the IBM strategic integration and continuous delivery platform. New in IBM Explorer for z/OS, V3.1.1.26 is the Remote Systems Explorer API (RSE API), which is a collection of REST APIs that allow a client to work with components of the z/OS host system, including MVSTM data sets, z/OS UNIX(R) files and commands, JES jobs, and more. RSE API is added as a new Function Module ID (FMID) through Orderable Supply S018HW4. IBM Z(R) Open Editor, which brings z/OS programming language support to VS Code, has built-in capability to access z/OS resources through RSE API. Z Open Editor is available nonwarranted via the Visual Studio Marketplace, and is supported as part of IBM Developer for z/OS Enterprise Edition V14.2.3 and the Code capability of IBM Wazi Red Hat(R) Codeready Workspaces V1.0. Note that RSE API is nonwarranted unless it is used as part of one of the following programs: • IBM Developer for z/OS, V14.2.3 or later • IBM Developer for z/OS Enterprise Edition V14.2.3 or later • IBM Application Delivery Foundation V3.2.2 or later • IBM Wazi Red Hat Codeready Workspaces V1.0 or later IBM United States Software Announcement 220-271 IBM is a registered trademark of International Business Machines Corporation 2 To learn more about capabilities delivered since the last IBM Explorer for z/OS, V3.1.x, announcement, see What's new in IBM Explorer for z/OS, V3.1.1.x. Value Unit-based pricing Value Unit pricing for eligible IBM Z(R) IBM International Program License Agreement (IPLA) programs enables a lower cost of incremental growth and enterprise aggregation. Each IBM Z IPLA product with Value Unit pricing has a single price per Value Unit and a conversion matrix, called Value Unit Exhibit, for converting from some designated measurement to Value Units. Most commonly, Millions of Service Units (MSUs) is the measurement designated by IBM to be converted to Value Units. Some other measurements are engines or messages. Since MSUs are the most common measurement, that measurement will be used for the remainder of this description.
