PART A: WEATHER A.1. Synoptic situation during last three days from 28-08-2021 to 30-09-2021 28-09-21: The Depression over Telangana and adjoining areas of Marathwada & Vidarbha moved westnorthwestwards with a speed of 26 kmph during last 06 hours and lay centered at 0830 hrs IST of 28th September 2021 over southwest Vidarbha & neighbourhood near Lat. 19.4°N and Long. 77.3°E, about 60 km eastnortheast of Parbhani (Marathwada) and 250 km southwest of Nagpur (Vidarbha). It is likely to move westnorthwestwards and weaken into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area during next 06 hours. The system is likely to emerge into northeast Arabian Sea & adjoining Gujarat coast around 30th September and there is likelihood for the system to further intensity over northeast Arabian Sea during subsequent 24 hours. Under the influence of the cyclonic circulation over Northeast & adjoining Eastcentral Bay of Bengal, a Low Pressure Area has formed over Northwest Bay of Bengal & adjoining coastal areas of West Bengal. The associated cyclonic circulation extends upto midtropospheric levels. It is likely to become more marked during next 24 hours. 29-09-21: The Well Marked Low Pressure Area over central parts of Gangetic West Bengal now lies over western parts of Gangetic West Bengal and neighborhood and the associated cyclonic circulation extends upto mid-tropospheric levels. 30-09-21: The Depression over northeast Arabian Sea & adjoining Kutch moved nearly westwards with a speed about 28 kmph during past 03 hours and lay centered at 0830 hours IST of today, the 30th September 2021, over northeast Arabian Sea off Gujarat coast, near Lat. 22.7° N and Long. 68.6° E, about 60 km west-northwest of Devbhoomi Dwarka (Gujarat), 280 km east-southeast of Karachi (Pakistan) and 860 km east-southeast of Chabahar Port (Iran). It is very likely to move west-northwestwards and intensify into Deep Depression over northeast Arabian Sea off north Gujarat coast during next 12 hours. Then it is very likely to move further west-northwestwards and intensify into a Cyclonic Storm during the subsequent 24 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to continue to move west-northwestwards close to Pakistan-Makran coasts, moving away from the the Indian coast. The Well Marked Low Pressure Area over northwest Jharkhand & neighbourhood now lies over north Jharkhand & adjoining Bihar and the associated cyclonic circulation extends upto 7.6 km above mean sea level. Rice To control the incidence and further spread of Bacterial Leaf Blight (BLB), spray Agrimycin @ 0.4 g or Plantomycin@ 0.2g per litre water. Prevailing weather conditions are congenial for incidence of False smut disease in rice. To control, spray Propiconazole @ 1 ml per litre of water. Prevailing weather conditions are congenial for incidence of Blast disease in rice. Monitor the incidence of the disease and if noticed, spray Tricyclazole @ 0.5 g or Isoprothiolane @ 0.5 ml or Kasugamycin @ 2.5 ml per litre of water. Blast disease in Rice Cotton Prevailing weather conditions are congenial for incidence of Para Wilt in cotton. To control, soil drench with Copper oxy chloride @ 3 g per liter of water. Prevailing weather conditions are congenial for incidence of Leaf spot and Sucking Pests in cotton. To control, spray Carbendazim @ 1 g + Acephate @ 1.5 g per liter of water. Prevailing weather conditions are congenial for incidence of Boll Rot and Black arm disease in Cotton. To control, spray Paushamycin @ 1 g or Streptocycline @ 1 g and Copper oxy chloride @ 30 g per 10 liter of water thrice at 15 days interval. Reddening of leaves is noticed in cotton. To control spray Magnesium Sulphate @ 10 g and Zinc Sulphate @ 2 g per liter of water twice in 10 days interval. Prevailing weather conditions are congenial for incidence of flower drop and boll drop in cotton. To control spray Planofix @ 2 ml per 10 liters of water twice at 10 days interval. Redgram Prevailing weather conditions are congenial for incidence of Phytophthora wilt in redgram, to control soil drench with Copper-Oxy-Chloride @ 3 ml per liter of water. Leaf spot in redgram. To control, spray Carbendazim @ 1 g per liter of water. Vegetables If incidence of sucking pests is noticed. To control, spray Dimethoate @ 2 ml or Acephate @ 1.5 g per litre of water. Prevailing weather conditions are congenial for Leaf spot in vegetable crops. To control, spray Carbendazim @ 1 g or Propiconazole @1 ml per liter of water twice in 15 days interval. Citrus Prevailing weather conditions are congenial for flower and fruit drop in citrus. To control, spray Carbendazim @ 100 g + Planofix @ 1.5 g per 100 liters of water. To control citrus mite, spray Spiromesifen @ 1 ml or Dicofol @ 3 ml per liter of water. Guava Prevailing weather conditions are congenial for Wilt disease in Guava. To control, avoid stagnation of water at the tree basin and take up soil drenching in the tree basin with Carbendazim @ 1 g per liter of water. Livestock & Poultry Prevailing weather conditions are congenial for the occurrence of - Ranikhet disease in poultry, ET, sheep pox and PPR in Sheep - Hemorrhagic Septicemia, Foot and mouth disease in cattle and Buffaloes. To prevent the diseases, vaccinate the animals WEATHER BASED AGRO ADVISORY TO THE FARMER’S OF KARIMNAGAR DISTRICT Bulletin No 79/2021 Date : 01.10.2021 During last three days light to moderate rains may occured over different parts of the places As per the forecast received from Meteorological Centre, Hyderabad, There is light to moderate rainfall. Maximum temperature may ranges between 34-34°C and night time temperature (minimum) around 24-25°C. Morning RH 89-94% and afternoon humidity may ranges between 54-62 % respectively. South eastern winds may blow at a speed of 6-12 kmph. Paddy Prevailing weather conditions are favourable for false smut incidence will be from at flowering stage due to drizzling. Prophylactic spraying carbendazim 1gr / lit or propiconozole 1 ml /lit of water twice at 50 and 100% panical emergence The prevailing weather conditions are favourable for blast in paddy. To control apply of tricyclozole @ 0.6 g or isoprothiolane @ 1.5 ml liter of water. Prevailing weather conditions are favourable for bacterial leaf blight in paddy. To control, spray agrimycin @ 0.4 g or Plantomycine @ 0.2 g per liter of water is recommended. Redgram Prevailing weather conditions are favourable for phytophthora wilt disease in redgram. To control, drench with the copper oxy chloride @ 3g per liter of water.

Bapuji was born in Wankidi village, Adilabad district, Hyderabad State Famous tribal Gond hero Komaram Bheem who fought against the deadly tyranny of Nizam government and against its land grabbing activities in the forests, belongs to Adilabad district.

A total of 42 plant species belonging to 37 genera and 30 families were used in traditional medicine to heal different diseases. The present work is an attempt to identify and conserve the medicinal plants in Adilabad district. The study shows a high degree of Ethno botanical novelty and the use of plants among the Tribals of the revival of interest in traditional folk culture. Maharashtra, India Email: [email protected] Issued: January 01, 2010 Abstract The present ethno-botanical explorations conducted in forest areas of Nizamabad resulted in the information about traditional plant uses of 77 plants species belonging to 39 Angiospermic families. Of these, maximum species belongs to Euphorbiaceae with 7 species, 6 species to Asclepiadaceae and Fabaceae each. Information gathered from Nizamabad district indicates that the tribals, and other village people of this region possess good knowledge of herbal drugs, but their continuous and progressive exposure to modernization may result in extinction of the such rich heritage of knowledge in the course of time. Diseases / ailments found prevalent in the area are skin diseases, kidney stone, tooth ache, fever and wounds. Majority of preparation are from leaves and some are of underground parts (like root, rhizome, tuber, etc). Following data includes botanical name of species, vernacular name family, plant part used method of medicine and details about its application. Among the plant parts used in different formulations, leaves are abundantly used which is followed by stem and roots. Key words: Traditional Uses, Indigenous Folklore, Nizamabad, Andhra Pradesh.     State Profile Telangana State Area (Sq. km) 1,12,077 Physiography Deccan Plateau Drainage The State is drained by two major perennial rivers viz. Godavari and Krishna with several other rivers of lesser significance Irrigation As per 2011 figures, out of gross irrigated area of 29,98,798 Ha, area irrigated by ground water is 21,10,959 Ha ( 70%) surface water is 8,09,111 Ha ( 27%). Net area irrigated is 20,03,900 Ha . Out of which, area irrigated by ground water is 13,96,000 Ha(70%) , surface water is 5,54,000 Ha(28%). Rainfall Varies from 732 mm in Mahabubnagar district to 1121 mm in Adilabad district. It increases from less than 800 mm in south-west part of the state to more than 1200 mm in north and north-east part of the state. The mean annual rainfall of the state is 923 mm of which southwest monsoon season (June-September) contributes about 80% of the annual rainfall and northeast monsoon season contributes 13% of the annual rainfall. Total Districts / Mandals 10 Districts / 459 Mandals (provisional 31 districts/525 mandals) Hydrogeology : Telangana is characterized by various geological formations ranging in age from Archaean to Recent. Nearly 80 percent of the State is underlain by hard rock formations consisting of granites, gneisses, metamorphics and intrusives (Archaeans), Precambrian quartzites, shales and limestones (Cuddapahs & Kurnools), Mesozoic Deccan Trap basalts etc., while the remaining area is underlain by Gondwana sedimentaries and Sub Recent-Recent alluvium. The occurrence and movement of ground water in hard rocks is chiefly controlled by thickness of weathering and structural features like fractures and solution cavities.
