A Turjánvidék Natura 2000 Terület Déli Részének Bogárfaunája (Coleoptera)
Természetvédelem és kutatás a Turjánvidék északi részén Rosalia 10 (2018), pp. 509–638. A TURJÁNVIDÉK NATURA 2000 TERÜLET DÉLI RÉSZÉNEK BOGÁRFAUNÁJA (COLEOPTERA) MERKL Ottó1 és SZÉNÁSI Valentin2 1Magyar Természettudományi Múzeum, Állattár, 1088 Budapest, Baross utca 13. E-mail: [email protected] 2Duna–Ipoly Nemzeti Park Igazgatóság, 1121 Budapest, Költő utca 21. E-mail: [email protected] A Duna–Tisza közén, Pest megyében fekvő Turjánvidék Natura 2000 terület déli részén, vagyis a Táborfalvai Lő- és Gyakorlótéren és a Dabasi Turjános Természetvédelmi Területen az 1990-es évek eleje óta gyűjtött bogáranyagból 1085 fajt határoztunk meg. A bogárfauna természetvédelmi és faunisztikai szempontból legértékesebb tagjai a nyílt és zárt homoki gyepek lakói. A területről 41 védett és 1 fokozottan védett faj került elő, köztük 4 Natura 2000 jelölőfaj, a magyar futrinka (Carabus hungaricus), a szarvas álganéjtúró (Bolbelasmus unicornis), a skarlátbogár (Cucujus cinnaberinus) és a nagy hőscincér (Cerambyx cerdo). Országos viszonylatban is kiemelkedően népes állománya él itt a következő védett fajoknak: Carabus hungaricus (Carabidae), Glaresis rufa (Glaresidae), Herpes porcellus (Curculionidae), Macrosiagon bimaculata (Ripiphoridae), Scarabaeus typhon (Scarabaeidae), Stenoria apicalis (Meloidae). -
Dyfed Invertebrate Group
DYFED INVERTEBRATE GROUP Sept 1991 NEWSLETTER N°. 22 ISSN 0952- 5327 Editor—AP Fowles, c/oCCW, Plas Gogerddan, Aberystwyth, Dyfed, SY23 3EE. THYSANURA BRISTLETAILS IN CEREDIGION, VC 46 - A O CHATER The bristletails are primitive, wingless insects belonging to the Order Thysanura. Five of the eight British and Irish species have been recorded in Ceredigion. The most familiar is the silverfish Lepisma saccharina, which is entirely synanthropic and confined to buildings. A record of this species from a house at Rhydyfelin (22/592792) in 1958 (Miles 1959) seems to be the only published record for the group in VC 46. The remainder, two species of Petrobius and two of Dilta, are in contrast found chiefly in some of the most unmodified and natural habitats, sea cliffs and coastal slopes, and dry woodland. All are slender, fast-moving animals 10-15mm long, with a dense covering of minute scales and three long ’tails' (one caudal filament and two lateral cerci). Silverfish feed on carbohydrates and various kinds of animal and vegetable debris. Petrobius and Dilta probably feed chiefly on algae and lichens growing on rocks, soil or bark. All tend to rest concealed during the day and come out to feed at night. Identification: Delaney (1954b) provides brief keys and illustrations of the British and Irish species, although the reader should be aware that the illustrations of the chief diagnostic features of Petrobius are wrongly labelled: Fig. 4 should be P. brevistylis and Fig. 11 P. maritimus. More detailed information is available in Wygodzinsky (1941, 1945) and Palissa (1964). The taxonomy of Dilta in particular is rather confused. -

1 a Provisional Atlas of the Coleoptera Of
A Provisional Atlas of the Coleoptera of Yorkshire (Vice Counties 61 –65) Part 4 – Suborder Polyphaga: Families Sphaeritidae, Histeridae, Ptiliidae, Leiodidae, Scydmaenidae, Silphidae. Introduction Please see the introductory notes in Part 1 of the Atlas. Parts 2, and 3 covering water beetles will be dealt with in due course. This is Part 4 of the Atlas and covers the above families. The Staphylinidae will be included in part 5. Previous reviews and reports include the following – Flint (1988), (Denton 1990, 2003, 2008), Marsh (1991, 2002). Each species in the database is considered and in each case a distribution map representing records on the database (at the end of 2010) is presented. The number of records on the database for each species is given in the account in the form (a,b,c, d,e) where a to e are the number of records from VC61 to VC65 respectively. These figures include undated records (see comment on undated records in the paragraph below on mapping). As a recorder, I shall continue to use the Vice-county recording system, as the county is thereby divided up into manageable areas for recording purposes. For an explanation of the vice-county recording system, under a system devised in Watson (1883) and subsequently documented by Dandy (1969), Britain was divided into convenient recording areas. Thus Yorkshire was divided into “vice-counties”, numbered 61 to 65 inclusive, and notwithstanding fairly recent county boundary reorganisations and changes, the vice-county system remains a convenient one for recording purposes; in the text, reference to “Yorkshire” implies VC61 to VC65 ignoring modern boundary changes. -
