Telling about Sicily, its streets, its history, a millenary culture, experienced on a motorcycle represents a set of emotions. Describing the colors, the smells, the traditions of a land full of charm lead to a unique dream that every motorcyclist should live. Every journey is like a story that becomes a common thread between the different destinations, the routes and the meetings with original people will make you understand that every Sicilian is a world in itself, always with the great desire to tell stories and tell stories. Our journey starts from Palermo to take us in eight days around the island with a path that will make us discover roads such as the SS 185 that connects the Tyrrhenian Sea to Etna, passing through wonderful villages like Novara di Sicilia where it will seem to return back in time, the bell towers of its many churches that dominate the town and the cheerful and serene voices of its people will take us back to the holidays. The view of Etna, majestic and fascinating, with roads full of curves and hairpin bends that alternate from the dense forest to the lunar lava landscapes. The tourist Taormina with the fashionable shops and the surprising Acireale. The discovery of Sicilian Baroque with cities of art such as Noto and Modica. We will experience unique paths like the road that gave birth to the legendary "Targa Florio". Agrigento with its Temples that dominate the Mediterranean Sea with their view. A journey that will also touch the main places marked by the most brutal massacres of the mafia, to make people understand and understand the suffering of those who believed and believe in legality. A motorcycle trip in Sicily is not a simple path of roads but a dip in the heart of a different world, sometimes difficult to understand, made of contradictions and simple ways of living.     Palazzolo, Noto e Ferla premiate a livello “nazionale” e la Regione invia nuove risorse Ci sono anche tre Comuni della provincia di Siracusa tra i 41 “premiati” dalla Regione con risorse aggiuntive per attivare o potenziare interventi o servizi di accoglienza e promozione territoriale e turistica. In totale, 2,3 milioni di euro ripartiti con un decreto congiunto firmato dagli assessori regionali alle Autonomie locali, Marco Zambuto, e all’Economia, Gaetano Armao. I comuni che riceveranno queste risorse hanno ottenuto, negli anni scorsi, il riconoscimento di “Bandiera blu”, “Bandiera verde”, “Borgo dei borghi” o “Borgo più bello d’Italia”. Per la provincia di Siracusa le somme saranno accreditate ai Comuni di Palazzolo Acreide e Ferla (Borgo dei Borghi) e Noto (Bandiera Verde). Nella shortlist destinata alle spiagge su cui sventola la bandiera blu, nessun rappresentante della provincia aretusea. Ecco a chi vanno le risorse: “Borgo più bello d’Italia”: un milione di euro per 21 Comuni. Sambuca di Sicilia (provincia di Agrigento), Sutera (Caltanissetta), Militello e Castiglione di Sicilia (Catania), Troina e Sperlinga (Enna), Castelmola, Castroreale, Montalbano Elicona, Novara di Sicilia, San Marco d’Alunzio e Savoca (Messina), Gangi, Geraci Siculo e Petralia Soprana (Palermo), Monterosso Almo (Ragusa), Ferla e Palazzolo Acreide (Siracusa), Erice e Salemi (Trapani). “Borgo dei borghi”: trecentomila euro per 4 Comuni. Sambuca di Sicilia (Agrigento), Montalbano Elicona (Messina), Gangi e Petralia Soprana (Palermo). “Bandiera blu”: settecentomila euro per 8 Comuni. Menfi (Agrigento), Alì Terme, Lipari, Santa Teresa di Riva e Tusa (Messina), Ragusa, Ispica e Pozzallo (Ragusa). “Bandiera verde”: trecentomila euro per 12 Comuni. Le prime notizie storiche lo danno popolato dalla popolazione indigena degli Elimi, a Nord-Ovest, e dai Sicani, a Sud. Questi ultimi daranno il nome alla catena montuosa che interessa l’area meridionale dell’Alto Belice Corleonese. In epoca classica e medioevale,il comprensorio segue le vicende storiche siciliane:la colonizzazione greca e cartaginese,le guerre puniche,l’af- fermazione dei Romani,le invasioni barbariche,la presenza bizantina,la conquista araba. I Normanni fondano Monreale (sec. XII), la città più importante del distretto, e la dotano di un ampio territorio, nucleo fondante di quello dell’Alto Belice Corleonese. L’imperatore Federico II di Svevia nel Duecento distrugge le ultime roccaforti dei ribelli arabi,asserragliati presso antiche città,oggi importanti siti archeologici,come Ietas ed Entella. Al tempo dei Vespri siciliani (sec.XIII),il Senato di Palermo e la città di Corleone si alleano contro gli Angioini,e il vessillo che issano porta il colo- re giallo di Palermo e quello rosso della rivoluzione,scelto da Corleone.Questi colori diventeranno quelli della bandiera siciliana. Alla fine del Quattrocento,gruppi di coloni albanesi,in fuga dall’invasione turca,fondano i centri abitati di Piana degli Albanesi,Palazzo Adriano, Contessa Entellina,Mezzojuso,Santa Cristina Gela,conservando sino ad oggi la lingua,le tradizioni,il rito religioso greco.
