Honoring our Franciscan Tradition St. Francis of Assisi Parish aUGUST 05 2018 •The Eighteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me will never thirst.” John 6:35 From the Pastor’s Desk the Eucharist it is hunger. We hunger for a love that does not disappoint, for a Word that does not fade away. As is our parish tradition, on the evening of Friday August 10, at 7:00pm, we join with Franciscan communities all over the world to commemorate her death and entry into eternal life. The Parish Liturgy Team invites everyone to this Transitus, a reflective evening of music, Scripture, readings and prayer. Her feast day will be recog- nized at all masses next weekend.
