Rambam and General Electric (GE) are longtime partners in developing cutting-edge medical devices. Professor Zohar Keidar, Deputy Director of Rambam’s Nuclear Medicine Institute, was recently chosen by GE to lead the single research site study of the world’s first general purpose, ultra-high resolution SPECT/CT imaging system with a new digital detector powered by cadmium zinc telluride (CZT) technology. This is one of the biggest nuclear medicine technological breakthroughs since the introduction of the Professor Zohar Keidar first general purpose gamma camera in 1957!
