U D iv i s i o nal F or e s t Offi c er P al akka d (Memb er) The Eleventh meeting o1 DEIAA has been convened on 3110512018 at 4.00pm in the chamber of District Collector, Palakkad. The meeting was held as per the agenda, in presence of the Chairman, Member Secretary. The Chairman welcomed the members. The commitee decided to direct the quarry owners who had aheady allotted the EC to submit the report of CSR activities done by them. The committee after examining the mining plan, pre-feasibility report, field inspection report and all other submitted documents, decided to recommend for issuance of environment clearance subject to general conditions in addition to the following specific conditions for mining projects. Item No:19.02 Granite (Building Stone) quarry project of IWs Cee Cee Granite, Amal'ur, Pattambi, Palakkad District for an area of 2.0573 hectares of land comprised in Survey Number 37512 of Koppam Village of Pattambi Taluk, Palakkad District, Kerala. (Proposal Number: DIA/KL/IIIN/I3 1 4 1/20 1 8) The committee appraised the proposal based on Form-I, Pre-Feasibility report, Mining Plan and Field Inspection Repot. The committee decided to recommend for issuance of Environmental Clearance with the general conditions subject to the following specifrc conditions. 1 . The natural flow of water along the western side of the applied area should not be disturbed or obstructed. 2. Quarrying should be practiced by benching system as mentioned in the approved mining plan. 3. A Qualified Person shall be appointed to control, direct, manage and supervise the quanying operations. 4. The approach road to the quarry must be maintained in good motorable condition. 5. Controlled blasting should be practised and blasting shall be done only during day time. 6. Plantation shall be done which includes a green belt of adequate width around the Mining Lease area excluding the rocky area, along roads, overburden dumps and non mineralized area by planting suitable native specious in consultation with thel ocal DFO/Agriculture Department. 7. The drains should be regularly de silted and maintained properly. Check dam and gully checks shall be constructed wherever required to arrest siltation. De siltation shall also be done every year before the onset of monsoon. 8. Fencing must be maintained properly all around the lease area. 9. Appropriate sign boards should be displayed. 10. The blasting time must be displayed and strictly adhered to. 11. Dust suppression mechanism must be in place. Sprinklers shall be installed along the main haulage road for dust suppression.
