6 . COVID Effects on Criminal Justice System

Mary Noonan, State Court Administrator, Utah State Courts, presented the effects of Covid on the Criminal Justice System.

MOTION: Rep. Dunnigan moved to re-appropriate back to the courts funding that lapsed at the close of 2020 in the amount of $560,500 for the administration line item and $459,100 for the contracts and leases line item and to forward this recommendation to EAC for their consideration. The motion passed with a vote of 13 - 0 - 3.
