Middle Tennessee Council 100Th Anniversary Jamboree Middle Tennessee Council September 24 - 26, 2021 Boxwell Scout Reservation Lebanon, TN 100th Anniversary Jamboree General Information and Leader’s Guide 100th ANNIVERSARY JAMBOREE Dear Cubmasters, Scoutmasters, and Crew Advisors, We are excited about the 100th Anniversary Jamboree to be held September 24-26, 2021 at Boxwell Scout Reservation in Lebanon, TN. You don’t want your Scouts to miss this exciting weekend of adventure as we celebrate 100 years of Scouting in the Middle Tennessee area. Boxwell Reservation is a 1100-acre facility that we will have exclusive use during this weekend. There will be plenty of space for camping, activities, and good old Scouting adventures. Your Scouts will be able to participate in a variety of activities, which will be explained further in this Leader’s Guide. We have been able to recruit some great volunteers from across our council who will be guiding the activities of the weekend. We will have a museum of historical Middle Tennessee collectibles – patches, neckerchiefs, documents and pictures sharing the history of the Middle Tennessee Council. There will be several alumni events on Saturday celebrating volunteer leadership, camp, Order of the Arrow and more. Steps to ensure your Scouts have a great weekend of adventure: • Make sure the date of September 24-26, 2021 is on your unit’s calendar and your unit is making plans to attend this great event. • Share the Leader’s Guide Information and Trading Post Pre-Order form with your Scouts and families. • Watch for additional information on the 100th Anniversary Jamboree on the council website www.mtcbsa.org, Facebook, Scout Shorts, and other council media. • If unit is asked to provide an activity, enthusiastically accept this opportunity. • Finally, register early to ensure that your Scouts don’t miss this opportunity. This 100th Anniversary Jamboree is being planned for your Scouts to have a great time celebrating Scouting. If you have any questions or comments about the Jamboree, please feel free to contact our Jamboree Staff Advisor Ron Turpin at [email protected]. We can’t wait to share this great weekend of September 24-26, 2021 with you.
