Kinmount Cenotaph Restoration Located along Highway 121 North, the Cenotaph which pays tribute to the wartime efforts of 1914-1918 and 1939-1945 underwent a total restoration during the Summer of 2019. Completed work included entire refurbishment of the original stone monument, replacement of the monument base, updating of the on-site electrical, replacement and installation of a new flag pole and removal and replacement of the perimeter site fencing.A large portion of the project encompassed making the site more accessible and barrier-free.

The completed restoration project has now created a beautiful, accessible, safe, and peaceful place for the community to visit, reflect upon, and pay their respects to wartime efforts of Canadian Soldiers. Funding for this project was provided in partnership with Veterans Affairs Canada, under the Commemorative Partnership program, and through the City of Kawartha Lakes. Restored Kinmount Cenotaph

With action stations that foster mobility and agility, the Seniors Play Park is an opportunity for residents to come together and stay active while being social in their community. The Park has a rubber ground surface, made of 2,000 recycled car tires, which is a non-slip and eco-friendly surface that the groups involved thought would be a welcomed feature by all using the space.
