THE 2020 CINEMA SNACK NIGHT PROMOTION TERMS & CONDITIONS The 2020 Cinema Snack Night Promotion (the “Promotion”) sponsored by Hershey Canada ​ ​ (the “Sponsor”) begins at 12:00:00 AM on August 17, 2020 and ends on October 31, 2020 (the ​ ​ “Promotion Period”). The Promotion is open to residents of Canada who have reached the age ​ ​ of majority in their province/territory of residence at time of submission. To participate in the Promotion, you must first purchase three (3) participating Hershey products (each valued at $2.00 before taxes (CAD) or more) on one (1) receipt (see below for participating Hershey products listed in Schedule 1 attached hereto) during the Promotion Period at a Metro Ontario, Metro Quebec, London Drugs, Save-on-Foods, Buy Low, Jean Coutu or Federated Coop retail location located in Canada (“Participating Store”) to receive a Cineplex PIN code valid for one ​ ​ (1) free digital movie rental with an approximate retail value up to $5.99 before taxes (CAD) through https://store.cineplex.com/ (the “Movie PIN”). Next, visit hersheysnacknight.ca between ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ 12:00:00 AM ET on August 17, 2020 and 11:59:59 PM ET on November 13, 2020 (the “Submission Period”) and confirm that you have reached the age of majority in your ​ ​ province/territory of residence. Next, complete the registration form with your name, email address, phone number, and province; acceptance of the Promotion terms & conditions; and indicate whether you would like to receive information about future promotions and new products from the Sponsor. Next, upload your receipt from the Participating Store dated between August 17, 2020 and October 31, 2020 from your purchase of a minimum of three (3) participating Hershey products (see below for participating products) purchased at a Participating Store (the “Submission”). Upon submitting your Submission, you will receive an ​ ​ ​ email regarding the status of your Submission within 24-48 hours and whether it has been approved or declined. Upon verification and approval, you will then receive your Movie PIN to the email address indicated on the registration form. Follows the instructions in the email to claim your Movie PIN. To receive the Movie PIN, the participant must provide the Sponsor a valid e-mail address. Limit of one (1) Movie PIN per person per email address. A person may only use one (1) email address to participate. In order to receive a Movie PIN, you must submit one (1) Submission with one (1) receipt indicating at least three (3) participating Hershey products (each valued at $2.00 (CAD) or more). A minimum of three (3) participating Hershey products MUST appear on one (1) receipt. For greater certainty, if one (1) receipt is submitted with more than three (3) participating Hershey products, only one (1) Movie PIN will be awarded. Receipt must clearly show the Participating Store name, purchase date and participating Hershey products purchased. The participating Hershey products must be circled and appear on one (1) receipt to be eligible for the Movie PIN. All Submissions must be submitted by 11:59:59 PM ET November 13, 2020. Submissions received after this date will not be honored nor receive a response. Offer valid during the Promotion Period or until supplies last, whichever comes first. Supplies limited to a maximum of 2,200 Movie PINs available, which will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Once the maximum number of Movie PINs has been awarded, no further Movie PINs will be available. The Movie PINs are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and non-refundable, and have no cash value. The Sponsor and its affiliates, representatives, advertising or promotional agencies, and each of their respective agents, associated companies, respective officers, directors, employees, successors and assigns (collectively the “Releasees”) will not be responsible for (i) the incorrect ​ ​ or inaccurate capture of information on the registration form and any event that may cause this promotion to cease either temporarily or permanently; (ii) any electronic network, computer problem, software, viruses, bugs or any other technical or human error of any kind that makes continuation of this promotion not feasible; or (iii) anything else related to or connected to this Promotion. The Movie PIN is valid for one (1) free digital movie rental (Video-On-Demand) in SD, HD or 4K format and can only be redeemed once. The Movie PIN expires on January 31, 2021 11:59pm ET. The Movie PIN may not be used in conjunction with any other offer, promotion, discount or coupon and is not valid on download-to-own or Home Premiere rental products. No substitutions, rain checks, or time extensions will be granted. No SCENE points will be earned upon redemption of the Movie PIN.     Center for Ethical Organizational Cultures Auburn University http://harbert.auburn.edu The Hershey Company and The Cocoa Controversy INTRODUCTION Chocolate is enjoyed by millions, mainly in decadent desserts, candies, and drinks. It contains fiber, iron, magnesium, copper manganese, potassium, phosphorus, zinc and selenium, which are nutritional antioxidants. Dark chocolate, with at least 70% cocoa, is considered protective against heart disease because it can reduce blood pressure, improve blood flow, raise HDL cholesterol (known as the good cholesterol), and lower total LDL cholesterol, or less desirable cholesterol. In one study, it was shown to reduce calcified arterial plaque by 32%. Other studies indicate that long term consumption of dark chocolate may protect skin from sun damage and reduce the risk of cancer, help with cognitive function in elderly people, and improve brain blood flow, oxygen levels and nerve function. As science learns more about the health benefits of dark chocolate, its demand continues to grow. Developing countries are discovering that chocolate beans improve their sweet treats and candies, thus creating even greater worldwide demand. Cocoa beans grow mostly in tropical climates, mainly in Western Africa, Asia and Latin America, the largest exporters being Ghana and the Ivory Coast. With over $7.5 billion dollars in sales every year, the Hershey Company is one of the world’s largest producers of chocolate and candy products. Hershey’s products are sold in more than 70 countries and include Hershey’s Kisses and Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Bars as well as brands such as Reese’s, Whoppers, Almond Joy, and Twizzlers. Although Hershey strives to be a model company and has several philanthropic, social, and environmental programs, the company has struggled with ethical issues related to the labor issues associated with West African cocoa communities, including child labor.
