KOUPAL ANGUS LaVern and Alice Koupal Bud & Bernie Koupal & family Welcome to the 44th Annual Koupals Angus bull sale. To say that 2020 was a year you will never forget is an understatement. We were blessed with adequate moisture and a lot less mud than the previous 2 years. The cattle have done exceptionally well this fall. Our program has not changed. We still believe you have to breed balanced, sensible cattle to stay profitable. We are not chasing extremes because we have found that extremes in one area usually downgrade in another. Our program is to breed balanced, predictable genetics that keep the cattlemen in business. The cattle we are selling have generations of predictable genetics that can help make your herd more profitable. Not everyone needs the same bull, so we have many high end, maternal bulls along with top performance bulls to choose from. We appreciate your support and would love for you to stop out for a visit or give us a call. We had our first annual Koupal influenced female sale in December. We were very pleased with the results and know there is a few things we can improve on for next year. With that I once again want to thank you all for your support and may God bless you all. Bud Koupal and family Welcome to the Koupal Angus 44th Annual Production Sale. There is nothing more admirable than commitment to family and work ethic. Koupal Angus has those two qualities in great abundance. The family is huge and hard working. The program and cow herd reflect that rare dedication and commitment. It is and has been to the benefit of the hundreds of Koupal customers as shown in their recent Koupal influence Commercial female sale. What a great day it was! Look for that service to grow and get bigger. I have had the honor over the years of getting to know the Koupals and their program. I don’t believe any program in the country has more passion for the business then the one in Dante, SD. When you go through the bulls or cows at Koupals you better be ready to work, talk and listen. They are tough and discerning on their own cattle, I love that. The cattle in this offering are impressive. As the business evolves and pushes the limits of performance over and under the hide, the challenge will be are the traits still there that we need to get premiums but also have the function, fertility and longevity to produce 8 plus commercial calves in a life time.

  • 2019 One Design Classes and Sailor Survey
2019 One Design Classes and Sailor Survey [email protected] One Design Classes and Sailor Survey One Design sailing is a critical and fundamental part of our sport. In late October 2019, US Sailing put together a survey for One Design class associations and sailors to see how we can better serve this important constituency. The survey was sent via email, as a link placed on our website and through other USSA Social media channels. The survey was sent to our US Sailing members, class associations and organizations, and made available to any constituent that noted One-Design sailing in their profile. Some interesting observations: • Answers are based on respondents’ perception of or actual experience with US Sailing. • 623 unique comments were received from survey respondents and grouped into “Response Types” for sorting purposes • When reviewing data, please note that “OTHER” Comments are as equally important as those called out in a specific area, like Insurance, Administration, etc. • The majority of respondents are currently or have been members of US Sailing for more than 5 years, and many sail in multiple One-Design classes • About 1/5 of the OD respondents serve(d) as an officer of their primary OD class; 80% were owner/drivers of their primary OD class; and more than 60% were members of their primary OD class association. • Respondents to the survey were most highly concentrated on the East and West coasts, followed by the Mid- West and Texas – though we did have representation from 42 states, plus Puerto Rico and Canada. • Most respondents were male.
