2018 inConcert – Chilterns Primary Music Festival
In March the school choir and our children who have violin and trumpet lessons in school will be taking part in 2018 inConcert – the Chilterns Primary Music Festival. The children will learn songs based on a theme to perform with other schools at the festival. This is an exciting opportunity for the children and has been a great success for many years. Buckinghamshire Learning Trust Music are running this event which costs £1 per child to attend. School will subsidise most of the transport costs, but we are asking for a small contribution of £3 per child please.
There are rehearsals which your child will need to attend as well as the festival itself and the details are as follows:
Monday, 19th March Rehearsal at Little Kingshill School between 9.15am and 12.00pm.
Tuesday, 27th March Final Rehearsal at Kings Church, Raans Road, Amersham HP6 6LX 3.30pm – 7pm
Tuesday, 27th March Festival Concert at Kings Church, Amersham 7.00pm start.
For the rehearsal on Monday, 19th March the children will be transported there and back by coach.
Tuesday, 27th March. Please pick your child up from school at 3pm and take them to Kings Church in Amersham. A member of staff will be responsible for your child from the time you drop them off at 3.30pm to the end of the concert (to which we hope you will attend). Please provide a packed tea for them to eat in the short break (5.45pm-6.30pm) before the performance at 7pm. Please note that school uniform must be worn at all times, but no jumpers for the performance itself as the venue gets rather warm.
Tickets for the festival performance are available at £6.00 each and are limited to a maximum of 1 adult ticket per family initially. (Apologies for this but it is due to the amount of children taking part and the capacity of the church). Additional tickets are priced at £6.00 if we have any spares.
Please could you complete the slip to indicate that you are aware of the dates of the rehearsals and the Festival Concert itself, that you give permission for your child to participate and that you are happy for them to travel on the coach to and from the rehearsal. Please return the completed slip and £3 to the office by Tuesday, 30th January 2018.
