Learn individual and team techniques on both offense and defense from an outstanding coaching staff. Top NFL Players! Great Campus! Great Location! West Chester University, West Chester, PA, only a short drive from Philadelphia! Dhani Jones Success Story Everyone who knows Dhani Jones will tell you that his fantastic football career is not really surprising. He is dedicated to excellence and hard work in every aspect of his life. While attending Winston Churchill Hill High School in Potomac, Maryland he was rated the fifth-best linebacker in the Atlantic Coast region by Blue Chip Illustrated. Dhani was also honored when he was selected to the All-Western Region, All-County, and All-Area teams. Both of his parents graduated from the University of Michigan and with major Wolverine influence at home, he decided to follow in his parents footsteps. While at the University of Michigan, he had an outstanding career on and off the football field. Jeffrey Wank wrote of Dhani, “Although most of Dhani Jone’s time is divided between academics and football, to refer to him as simply a student-athlete is to deny and dismiss his accomplishments and interest at the University, especially outside of football. Jones not only plays the role of a hard-hitting inside linebacker, he is also an Ann Arbor celebrity drawing gazes of admiration and intrigue with his campus theatrical performances and a personality which exudes openness and optimism.” In all, Dhani Jones is the perfect role model for young players aspiring to be NFL superstars or just great human beings. He is humble, but confident and he gives back to the community. Dhani has been a part-time poet and painter since high school, reading his work in front of crowds and wandering through museums all alone for years. Along with art, music, and poetry, he also developed into one of the best linebackers in the country while at Michigan. The New York Giants drafted Dhani in the sixth round (177th pick overall) in 2000 and his first year he spent the entire season on injured reserve after suffering a tear to the ACL during training camp. In 2001 he became a special teams wizard and played linebacker. While playing in all 16 games, he led the Giants with 16 special team tackles. Most players would have shaken in their shoes after learning that they would to be the starting outside linebacker following in the footsteps of such greats as Lawrence Taylor and Jessie Armstead. Not Dhani Jones. Dhani was determined to make a name for himself! In 2002 he gained the leagues respect by starting 14 games and ending the season with 82 tackles and was named the Giants 2002 Man of the Year for his work and dedication toward the betterment of the New York Community. In 2003 he finished the season with an amazing 159 tackles and 3 sacks. After Dhani’s outstanding season in 2003, the TEAM DISCOUNTS AVAILABLE Philadelphia Eagles signed him to a five-year contact and he was very excited to be in Philadelphia with the Eagles. “Philadelphia is right in the middle of everything. It’s the East Coast Mecca, “said Dhani Jones Football Camp Jones. It did not take long for Dhani to fit into the Philadelphia community! To name just a few things, he shed his football uniform for his tuxedo and patented bow tie to perform as a guest July 12–16 conductor for Peter Nero and the Philadelphia Pops. A man of many talents, he became the host of ESPN’s new series, Timeless. He also appeared in GQ in an article entitled “Broadway Jones”. West Chester University, West Chester, PA Dhani Jone’s had an outstanding season with the Eagles in 2004 with 90 tackles and a trip to the Super Bowl with his Eagle teammates! During the 2005 off-season Dhani participated in a photo 24th Big Year for Sports essay for ESPN The Magazine in China. While there, he helped teach local students about flag football, an experience that has been used as a pre-cursor for the NFL in its attempts to build a relationship with China. It is obvious to those around him that success is more than just a word International Camps! to Dhani Jones. Success is a way of life. The Best Camp in The USA! Method Men: How NFL Players Memorize Dizzying Playbooks ... http://nfl.fanhouse.com/2011/02/24/method-men-how-nfl-playe... Players Player Position Team Transactions Injuries Super Bowl Ads NFL Gear February 24 2011 Last updated at 07:00 AM ET Method Men: How NFL Players Memorize Dizzying Playbooks By Kyle Stack NFL Writer Text SizeAAA | Email NFL players are often cited as impressive physical specimens, but it's not their tree trunk-like legs or bulging biceps that are most impressive. It's their brains. That much is made clear by learning about the most mundane of tasks required of every NFL player: memorizing the playbook. It's an act which often goes unrecognized because it is so fundamental. Players are given plays, they memorize them and they execute them on the field. Yet as a variety of current and former NFL players explained to FanHouse, it's not as easy as it sounds. Trent Dilfer, a 13-year NFL quarterback for five teams who's now an NFL analyst for ESPN, recalled exactly how he memorized his plays. "Visualization," Dilfer said. "You must highlight, draw (the play), put the playbook down and find a quiet place in your mind and visualize every aspect of the play. A lot of time is dedicated to that. The basic principle is repetition is the mother of all learning." Dilfer noted that when he was in Mike Holmgren's offense in Seattle, which he considers the most complicated offensive system in which he played, the quarterbacks would watch film after practice and quiz each other for an hour about plays.

NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE 280 Park Avenue, New York, NY 10017 (212) 450-2000 * FAX (212) 681-7573 WWW.NFLMedia.com Joe Browne, Executive Vice President-Communications Greg Aiello, Vice President-Public Relations FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE NFL-REG-2 9/12/06 BIG DIVISION GAMES ALREADY? WEEK 2 HAS ’EM! Big division games? It’s never too soon for that in the NFL! And Week 2, indeed, has them! In the NFC East, you have the whole division going at it, with the New York Giants at Philadelphia and Washington at Dallas Sunday night. In the NFC South, there’s Tampa Bay-Atlanta. In the AFC East, New England comes down to visit the Jets. Also, there’s Lions-Bears, Browns-Bengals and Chiefs-Broncos among others. “One of the goals every team has is to take care of business in your division,” says Seattle Seahawks head coach MIKE HOLMGREN, whose club faces the NFC West Arizona Cardinals this week. So after a Kickoff Weekend that saw surprises (11 road teams won, the most on an opening weekend in 23 years [12 in 1983])…debuts (Heisman Trophy-winner REGGIE BUSH accounted for 141 total yards for New Orleans in rushing, receiving and returning)…and comebacks (Jets quarterback CHAD PENNINGTON posted a 123.2 passer rating vs. Tennessee in his return from shoulder surgery), the NFL comes right back in Week 2 with who-knows-what’s in store? And leave it to a player -- the Jets’ Pennington, who missed most of a whole season last year -- to capture the exuberance a player feels in the return of an NFL season.
