Matchday Diversions

On Liverpool Football Club matchdays, due to high traffic levels, Walton Breck Road will close 90 minutes before the match kicks off. The road will re-open, once the match is under way, but will again close 20 minutes before the final whistle, and remain closed for up to 45 minutes after the game has finished. After this time, services will return to their normal routes.

When the road closes the buses will run as follows: Route 26 will be rerouted from Walton Breck Road via Robson Street, Breckfield Road North, Breckfield Road South, Boundary Lane, West Derby Road, Sheil Road then return to its normal route. Route 27 will be rerouted from Sheil Road via West Derby Road, Boundary Lane, Breckfield Road South, Breckfield Road North, Robson Street to Walton Breck Road then return to its normal route.
