    Introduction to Pitch and Putt A Coaching Guide Although derived from and played under the same basic principles as golf, Pitch and Putt is a skilled sport in it’s own right. First played in Cork in the 1940’s, Pitch and Putt has developed it’s own rules, traditions and competitive circuit. In this time Pitch and Putt has spread throughout Europe and is now played as far away as China, Chile and Australia. The Pitch and Putt Union of Ireland is the governing body and the Rules of the Union are available from Club Secretaries. The PPUI has in approximately 10,000 members and 120 affiliated clubs throughout the country. The game caters for ladies, gents and juveniles from 8 to 80. Most PPUI clubs have a recognised coach who has completed some of the PPUI coaching courses. This coaching leaflet is designed to guide you through shots involved in Pitch and Putt, while also learning some of the basic Rules and Etiquette of the game. Remember, our greatest wish is for you to enjoy the game. Pitch and Putt is fun! INTRODUTION TO COACHING This leaflet deals with the fundamental steps – from grip through to stance and the various strokes – to aid you to play and enjoy pitch and putt. It will give the newcomer a starting point and may help the established player to solve some problems. A PPUI Certified Coach can pinpoint the improvements that can be made in your game and give you the advice you may need. Remember, the quickest way to improve in Pitch and Putt is to practice in the right way.

Caracterização da Vila de Almancil 1.1.A Freguesia de Almancil Almancil é uma freguesia do concelho de Loulé com uma área de 62,30Km2 e uma população de 10.677 habitantes, segundo os censos de 2011, e cuja densidade populacional é de 171,4 habitantes/km2.A freguesia é limitada pelas freguesias de Quarteira e S. Clemente, no Concelho de Loulé e pelas freguesias de Santa Bárbara de Nexe, Montenegro e União das freguesias de Faro, no concelho de Faro. Banhada a Sul pelo Oceano AtlânRco, a freguesia ocupa cerca de 8 Km da costa maríRma do concelho de Loulé, sendo nesta esplêndida orla costeira “de areias finas, brancas e despoluídas” Ibid., que se localiZam alguns dos principais empreendimentos turísRcos do Algarve como sejam, a Quinta do Lago, o Ancão, o Garrão, as Dunas Douradas e Vale de Lobo. Em termos puramente demográficos, a freguesia teve, desde 1981, um grande incremento populacional, na medida em que, segundo os dados censitários do InsRtuto Nacional de EstabsRca, entre aquela data e 2011, passou de 5.560 para 10.677 habitantes, o que significa uma variabilidade demográfica de praRcamente 100% no intervalo de tempo considerado de 30 anos. Verifica-se, pois, uma dinâmica demográfica relevante, o que permite inferir que Almancil tem uma grande capacidade atraRva que se reflete quer nos fluxos relaRvos ao território português, quer nos fluxos externos ao nível da emigração. Com efeito, Almancil é uma freguesia marcada fortemente pelos movimentos migratórios e pela diáspora estrangeira, uma vez que grande parte da população residente é oriunda de numerosas proveniências e nacionalidades e o que permite 1 uma grande diversidade étnica, cultural e religiosa.
