Franklin is on duty every day in the Fitness Centre’s Shooting Station at Kent Valley Ice Centre (KVIC). According to a reliable source at KVIC, Franklin was named by one of our Kent Valley hockey players. His official name is Franklin Franklin. I think it has something to do with the maker of his goalie gear… Come on in and give Franklin the best you’ve got to offer. A shooting session costs $20 per half hour or you can purchase a 10-pack for $150 (plus tax.) Franklin is waiting for you. Metropolitan Hockey League Game Scheduling Underway The Metropolitan Hockey League is beginning the complex task of preparing league game schedules. It is a multifaceted process that begins with 8 hockey associations declaring over 90 teams available for a season of competition. Fourteen ice rinks (including 1 in Vancouver and 2 in Wenatchee) declare their available ice times for games. Then the scheduler begins scheduling over 1,000 games to played between October and March. The scheduler also must work around holiday and tournament conflicts. Our thanks go out to the MHL’s game scheduling team for their work on preparing the MHL League schedules for the 2019-2020 hockey season. We don’t have a start date for games yet. We’re guessing, and I emphasize guessing, that games could get underway around October 12th. Your patience and understanding are appreciated.
