On Tuesday Jan 16th, a representative from the San Juan College Financial Aid Office came to present to seniors regarding scholarship information, most specifically the FAFSA. The FAFSA is crucial for students AND parents together to fill out in order for the senior to be eligible for financial aid/scholarships. All seniors at this point have their PIN numbers and know the website on which they need to fill out the application. They will need the assistance of their parents in regards to income tax information. Please assist your seniors with this process. In addition, encourage your senior students to begin looking for scholarships and to begin applying for them. The Senior Seminar took a field trip up to Ft. Lewis College in Durango, Colorado and met with rep- resentatives from Admissions and the Native American Center. The competition will be held on Saturday, May 04, 2013 at the Albuquerque Conven- tion Center. Each team is responsible for designing, building, and programming their autonomous robots. Students that are already a part of a team, please make plans to meet as a “whole” team, to meet deadlines for the spring semester. Parents: Please encourage your son/daughter to attend the team meetings. Meetings are held on Wednesday evening, 5:00-7:00 pm.
