Rainbows, Brownies and Guides
Rainbows - for girls aged 5 to 7 - runs on Mondays and Thursdays from 6.00pm to 7.00pm Brownies - for girls aged 7 to 10 - runs on Tuesdays from 6.15pm to 7.45pm and from 6.30pm to 8.00pm, and on Wednesdays from 6.15pm to 7.45pm

The Youth Bus Project
On Thursdays from 7.00pm to 9.00pm Part of the charity Connections Bus Project, which provides youth services across Cambridgeshire, the Youth Bus Project takes place on the Recreation Ground, and also offers babysitting courses and a Generation Game for young people wishing to volunteer with the elderly.

Ballet
On Wednesdays at Cottenham Sports Centre Run by ABM School of Ballet, classes are structured, gently disciplined and develop creative and expressive talents.
Dads Play
On the second Saturday of the month from 10.30am to 11.30am Dads are invited to bring children of all ages along to the parenting group which takes place at the Community Centre.

Barn Owls/Barn Lambs
Barn Owls, every Tuesday during term time from 9.30am to 11.00am Barn Lambs, every Wednesday during term time from 9.30am to 11.00am Craft, play, snacks and singing for all ages, taking place at the Salvation Army Barn. Cost: £1.50 per family.
4th Dimension Dance
A number of different classes are available in Cottenham on Mondays and Saturdays 4th Dimension Dance provides fantastic, high quality dance and performance training for all ages and abilities, including Commercial Street, Hip Hop, Jazz, Contemporary, Musical Theatre and Lyrical, at the Community Centre.

Beavers, Cubs and Scouts

Cottenham Day Centre lunches for over 65s
Little Saints
On Tuesdays from 9.30am to 2.00pm
Thursdays during term time from 10.00am to 11.45am
Run by a group of volunteers, a two-course home cooked meal is provided for over 65s at Coolidge Gardens Community Room. Tea and coffee are also provided and the Day Centre provides transport for those who need it. Bingo and raffles are also organised for a further small charge and there is time to socialise.
With plenty of toys, snacks, crafts and song time, children aged 0 to 4 years along with parents/carers can join us at All Saints’ Church Hall at no charge.

WI (Women’s Institute)
A warm welcome awaits in the Baptist Church Hall – pop in with your baby for as long or short a time as you are able, to chat with others caring for a baby from new born to 12 months. Mums to be also welcome!
An exciting programme of speakers, craft activities, walking group, darts team, poetry club, new lunch group and a bridge group. Do come along and join us, you will be very welcome.

Singing for Fun
On Thursdays from 1.45pm to 2.45pm during term time
Cottenham Community Photography Club
From 7.30pm usually on the last Wednesday of every month The club aims to promote the enjoyment of all aspects of photography and membership is open to residents of all Fen Edge villages of all abilities and interests. The group meets at the Community Centre Coffee Shop.
An adult group that sings for fun at the Salvation Army Barn. Sometimes promoting the group with live performances – but not a choir, just a group that enjoys singing. No need to read music and no prior musical ability required or expected.
Cost: first session free then a small weekly fee.

TyrannoChorus is made up of three choirs which, when performing together, are known as TyrannoChorus
Cottenham Theatre Workshop
Two shows are performed each year
TongueTwisters meets every Saturday from 12.15pm. For children aged 3 to 11, singing a mixture of bespoke arrangements and ‘off the peg’ music with an emphasis on fun.
An amateur theatre group that has been performing for the last 40+ years – a pantomime in December and another production in the spring. Welcomes new people to tread the boards, help backstage or support tech and front of house teams.
VoxPop meets on Thursday evenings from 5.30pm. For children aged 11 to 18, singing
recent and classic arrangements, including some of the singers’ own.
BigMouth meets on Thursdays from 7.45pm. For those who are old enough to know better and have sung everywhere from Abbey Road to the Royal Albert Hall - also going on tour to France.

The band rehearses on Thursdays from 6.15pm to 7.30pm With 40 current members aged 8 to 17, rehearsals take place at Landbeach Village Hall.

Cottenham Brass
With teams in six different leagues there are usually people bowling every day and with short-mat bowling in the winter (indoor), there is bowling all year round

Cricket – Seniors
Cottenham Jaguars Netball Club
Training takes place on Tuesday evenings during the winter Catering for seniors, U21s and U16s, training takes place at the Sports Centre.

Matches take place on Saturday afternoons from May until early September With senior players aged 14 to 50+, as well as junior players, matches are played on the Recreation Ground. Two men’s teams are run in the Cambridgeshire Cricket Association leagues – a 1st team in Senior 3 and a 2nd team in CCA Junior 4N – and new players from within the village are always welcome.

Pre-season training takes place from mid-June to mid-August on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at the Recreation Ground

Fen Edge Runners
From October to April training moves to Cottenham Sports Centre on the 3G floodlit pitch, on Wednesdays from 8.00pm to 9.00pm
Fen Edge Runners meet every Thursday at 6.30pm on the Village Green A non-profit community running club open to all ages and abilities, we are a friendly, inclusive group and don’t take ourselves too seriously.
Cottenham United FC has two senior teams playing in Saturday Cambridgeshire FA Kershaw senior A league and division 3b in the Mead Plant & Grab league. Home ground is the Recreation Ground. A friendly club welcoming any new players from the village.

Cottenham United Colts FC
Classes run on Wednesdays from 4.30pm to 5.30pm (age 4 to 6); from 5.30pm to 6.30pm (age 7 to 9); and from 6.30pm to 7.30pm (age 10+)
Sessions include: SSE Wildcats Centre for girls aged 5 to 11, at Cottenham Primary School from March to October; FA Living Sport for girls in Year 7 to 11, at Cottenham Sports Centre from September to March; Monday evening soccer school from 6.00pm to 7.00pm at Cottenham Sports Centre; and Thursday evening goalkeeper coaching from 5.00pm to 6.00pm at Cottenham Sports Centre.

Training every Thursday evening from 6.00pm to 8.00pm Cambridge ESKA Karate Club (English Shotokan Karate Association) trains at the Sports Centre with fully qualified and experienced instructors. Cricket – All Stars
The All Stars programme, aimed at encouraging 5 to 8 year olds to enjoy cricket, is a successful programme that runs on Saturday mornings for eight weeks in early summer.

Line Dancing
Cricket – Juniors
Tuesday evenings from 6.00pm to 7.00pm (beginners), and from 7.00pm to 8.30pm (intermediate)
The junior season runs from the beginning of May until early July with games played on weekday evenings
Line dancing is fun for everyone, is good exercise and increases stamina, and is suitable for all ages with no partner required. Join us at the Dance Studio at the Sports Centre.
Teams of boys and girls play at U11, U13 and U15. Pre-season junior training with coaching is held in the Sports Centre in March and April before moving outside from May – new players are always welcome.

Renegades Rugby
On Tuesdays from 7.30pm when the evenings are dark (on all-weather pitches at Cottenham Sports Centre) or from 7.00pm on the Recreation Ground when the evenings are lighter
Cottenham Renegades is a rugby union club with a strong emphasis on having fun – always looking for bright new (or stale old!) talent.
