The 23rd Santa Monica-based ceremony, organised by the Broadcast Film Critics Association, saw many guests, including Reese Witherspoon, Elisabeth Moss, Laura Dern and Emilia Clarke, continue to run with the black dress code that dominated the Globes, but many celebrities, such as Angelina Jolie, Saoirse Ronan, Greta Gerwig, Diane Kruger and Kate Bosworth, switched it up and wore white. The actress has sported a number of black looks during the press tour, so I was pleased to see her embrace colour and pattern in a bold way. Her Prada dress brought together unexpected shades and textures with the studded shoulder panel toughening the floral design on the turquoise base. The heavily decorated collar added more dimension while speaking to Prada’s masterful ability to fuse surprising details. Silver sandals enhanced the frock’s embellishment. http://www.redcarpet-fashionawards.com/2017/12/21/daisy-ridley-prada-star-wars-last-jedi-shanghai- premiere/ 1 1 GRAN BRETAGNA-REDCARPET-FASHIONAWARDS.COM-PRADA-DAISY RIDLEY-FULL LOOK-08.01.18 REDCARPET-FASHIONAWARDS.COM 04.01.18 Karen Gillan In Prada – ‘Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle’ Beijing Press Conference Karen Gillan was at the Beijing press conference for ‘Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle’ on Thursday (January 4) in China. Continuing the film’s promo circuit, she started off the new year on a beautifully flowy note in a Prada belted design. Some may yawn at the creamy colour, but look closely, and you can see the hint of glimmering embellishment throughout that was still on the minimalist side for Prada. I was supremely enjoying this more subtle variation that drew into focus the light, diaphanous movement of its plisse layers. A scarlet clutch and matching lipstick, along with loose finger waves through her auburn hair, added an old Hollywood elegance to finish the look. http://www.redcarpet-fashionawards.com/2018/01/04/karen-gillan-prada-jumanji-welcome-jungle- beijing-press-conference/ 1 1 GRAN BRETAGNA-REDCARPET-FASHIONAWARDS.COM-PRADA-KAREN GILLAN-RTW-08.01.18 RUSSIA – VOGUE.RU – RITA ORA COAT SKIRT – 21.12.2017 REDCARPET-FASHIONAWARDS.COM 15.12.17 PREMIERE, RUNWAY TO RED CARPET Meryl Streep In Prada – ‘The Post’ Washington, DC Premiere Meryl Streep attended ‘The Post’ Washington, DC premiere on Thursday (December 14), joining Alison Brie and Sarah Paulson. I was anticipating the legendary actress would wear an elegant gown or suit, so this Prada Spring 2017 ensemble was a delightful surprise. Instead of the maximalist styling from the runway, she went for a modern interpretation of suiting with a white blouse and gray cropped trousers to match the long coat. The feather-bedecked coat would have made an exuberant statement without the accessories, but I adore the way she pushed the envelope with the darker cap-toe shoes and the sparkling clutch. http://www.redcarpet-fashionawards.com/2017/12/15/meryl-streep-prada-post-washington-dc-premiere/ 1 1 GRAN BRETAGNA-REDCARPET-FASHIONAWARDS.COM-PRADA-MERYL STREEP-RTW-18.12.17 DAILYMAIL.CO.UK Kate Moss, 43, cradles new puppy in her arms as she cuts a stylish figure in trilby hat and tailored grey coat for outing with beau Count Nikolai von Bismarck, 30 By Connie Rusk For Mailonline PUBLISHED: 18:12 GMT, 17 December 2017 She is one of the world's biggest supermodels, with a career spanning more than 30 years in the fashion industry. The Road To Emmy, Part 6: Feedback From Directors and Cinematographers Director Jarrold Earns Nomination For The Girl; LOS ANGELES, September 06, 2013, Robert Goldrich --- This is a tale of two first-time primetime Emmy Award nominees: director Julian Jarrold, and DP John Pardue both nominated for The Girl, an HBO telefilm. The Girl depicts the obsession of director Alfred Hitchcock (portrayed by Toby Jones) with actress Tippi Hedren (played by Sienna Miller). When his romantic overtures are rebuffed by Hedren, Hitchcock turns abusive and sadistic towards her during their collaborations on the movies The Birds and Marnie. The Girl earned a total of six Emmy nominations: Jarrold for Outstanding Directing for a Miniseries, Movie or a Dramatic Special; Jones for Lead Actor in a Miniseries or Movie; Imelda Staunton (as Alma Hitchcock) for Supporting Actress; John Pardue for Cinematography; Philip Miller for Music Composition; and Diana Cilliers and Melissa Moritz for Costumes. (DP Pardue is profiled in ‘The Road To Emmy’, Part 6.) Jarrold said being an Emmy nominee is "incredibly exciting. We made a small film that's received fantastic exposure and response." Among the biggest challenges posed by The Girl, reflected Jarrold, were physically suspending disbelief for Jones' portrayal of Hitchcock and recreating the attack sequence in The Birds. On the former front, Jarrold described Jones as "a wonderful comedian and actor who transformed himself into Hitchcock. Toby spent a lot of time in makeup every morning. We didn't want a wax look, he had to be real and lifelike in character. Toby perfected the voice.

Published Date: August 30, 2018 Abstract This study aims to demonstrate the creation of an innovative high-fashion collection based on a conceptual fashion design process model. The design process model makes use of understanding the context of design problems, design processes and users in the conceptual design domain. The model is characterized by four phases of design processes, namely investigation, interaction, development and evaluation. Each phase is closely related, connected and interacted with each other. Its focus is on the continuous cyclical design process which can generate an incremental output. By adopting the conceptual design process model, the development of a high-fashion collection is presented in a step-by-step approach. It demonstrates a holistic approach and the orders of importance within the design process, and how it can be rationalized despite the complexities of conceptual fashion design. This experimental activity is meant to provide fashion practitioners with a valuable reference for designing a successful fashion collection in a conceptual context. Keywords: Conceptual; High-fashion; Design process model Introduction fashion practitioners can make reference to the conceptual design Increasing attention has been given to the revolutionary processes.

12/44 The Genius of Hitchcock Part One: August 2012 Special events include: x Tippi Hedren in Conversation x TV Preview + Q&A: THE GIRL – new BBC2 drama telling the full story of Hitchcock’s relationship with Tippi Hedren x Camille Paglia: Women & Magic in Hitchcock x The Lodger + composer Nitin Sawhney in Conversation Over the course of almost three months, Hitchcock’s surviving body of work as director will be presented in its entirety at BFI Southbank. The films will be grouped together, taking inspiration from one his most famous films to present the 39 Steps to the Genius of Hitchcock to help audiences increase their understanding of this complex and fascinating director. The first part of the BFI Southbank season in August, with special thanks to Sky Movies/HD, focuses on the first 12 steps, beginning with The Shaping of Alfred Hitchcock. The recent discovery in New Zealand of several reels of The White Shadow, scripted by Hitchcock, made international headlines. But other material, too, survives from his apprentice years, prior to The Pleasure Garden. In The Shaping of Hitchcock: Reflections on The White Shadow author Charles Barr will present a richly illustrated narrative of Hitchcock’s formative years, as an introduction to a screening of the thus-far incomplete The White Shadow (1924). BFI Future Film presents The DIY Thriller Film Fortnight to accompany the second step: The Master of Suspense. This course will give participants aged 15-25 the chance to make short thriller films inspired by Hitchcock. The Evolution of Style will look at the development of Hitchcock’s style – described by the director as ‘the first true Hitchcock film’, The Lodger (1926) introduces themes that would run through much of Hitchcock’s later work.
