Steele, who had a vision to provide students with a quality higher education in art and design. RMCAD has grown a great deal since its comparatively modest beginnings and now thrives on a lush, historic campus including more than 23 acres of land and 16 buildings. In 2013, RMCAD celebrated its 50th anniversary as a diverse community of people who are inspired by creative possibilities in higher education. Today, we offer not only a rich and diverse selection of regionally accredited certificates and degrees at the BA, BFA and MA levels, but we are pioneers in the online learning environment for art and design. Our award-winning online environment brings together students from all over the world to work with our esteemed campus faculty. And, for our campus students, we provide our Multi-Platform Learning Experience, which offers the best of online and on-campus course delivery. The Multi-Platform Learning Experience provides efficiency, affordability, career preparation and innovation to RMCAD students. Action Requested: None. 331 332 Item #I-2 December 4, 2018 STATE OF ILLINOIS BOARD OF HIGHER EDUCATION Report on Closed Institutions and Teach-out Locations in Illinois The Illinois Board of Higher Education (IBHE) administers the Private College Act and the Academic Degree Act, two Illinois statutes regulating the operation and degree-granting activity of private colleges and universities in the state of Illinois. IBHE Academic Affairs staff maintain accurate records of institutional authorities and review institutions to ensure compliance with relevant administrative code. Institutions must show evidence of financial health, accreditation/regulatory compliance, and integrity of program implementation. There are a variety of reasons why an institution may close including compliance issues, accreditation/regulatory actions, financial problems, and corporate/institutional restructuring. Through each scenario, IBHE Academic Affairs staff work with institutions to coordinate teach-out plans and manage the disposition of records, all in a manner to protect Illinois students and ensure compliance with administrative code. Along with great leadership training, ROTC can pay for your college tuition, too.” - Military.com ROTC CADET MENTOR AND U.S. ARMY VETERAN VICE PRESIDENT FOR INFORMATION AND TECHNOLOGY NORTHCENTRALCOLLEGE.EDU/ROTC BEST OF BOTH WORLDS You can enroll in Army ROTC or Air Force ROTC through North Central College and work towards a college education while receiving outstanding leadership training and preparation for a career as an officer in the U.S. Military. Tuition assistance and stipends are available for qualified applicants. North Central students are eligible to participate in the U.S. Army ROTC Rolling Thunder Battalion or the U.S. Air Force ROTC Detachment 195 leading to a commission as a 2nd Lieutenant. This is the same rank as graduates of military academies. First-year students are welcome to participate in ROTC without committing to the post-graduation service requirement. UNDERGRADUATE EXPERIENCE In addition to having the full undergraduate experience at North Central, cadets take one ROTC course per semester at either Wheaton College (Army ROTC) or Illinois Institute of Technology (Air Force ROTC). Ten credit hours of military science (Army ROTC) or aerospace studies (Air Force ROTC) course work is accepted in transfer credit toward your North Central degree. ROTC ROOM & BOARD GRANT North Central ROTC cadets receiving the Army ROTC full-tuition scholarship or Air Force ROTC Type 1 or 2 Scholarship through the Department of Defense may be eligible for a North Central ROTC Room & Board Grant of up to $10,000/year.
