The teams consist of 6-12 gymnasts, the this year is in many ways a “golden generation” for the Swedes a tough fight! whole team competes on floor but only six on trampet and tumbling. For all apparatuses, the gymnasts need power, endurance and technique in order to perform difficult exercises. What is fun about TeamGym is that it is a team sport at the same time as being a sport for individuals. The team competes as a group, but each and every individual needs to be trained in TeamGym is a young sport. The first formal Nordic Holmen accordance with his or her level, and the team members Championships were held in 1986 in Copenhagen. Ten years perform different jumps according to their ability at any given later, the first European championships were held in Jyväskyla in Finland, and in 2010, the first European Championships for Holmen is two-time reigning Nordic Champions the guys competed for the first time in last year’s time. Each individual must be trained on an individual level National Teams were held in Malmö in Sweden. The Nordic in the mixed class, taking home the trophy in both Senior Nordic Championships in Aarhus, and some and then the team must be built. There can be competition Countries have been among the most triumphant countries in Jyväskylä 2010 and Halmstad 2012. We are hoping Even though TeamGym is a difficult sport and is stressful, Junior team competing at the Nordic Championships in were in the team in Halmstad 2012, and the rest of that they can rise to the challenge and help the both mentally and physically, as well as demanding a high level Ásgarður. the guys were in the men’s team the same year. A team cannot work together if joy is not at It is a pleasure and an honour for the competition to be held hand. The social part, therefore, is very important in TeamGym, in Garðabær where the facilities are exemplary. We expect a group-building must be a part of the training and the gymnasts highly enjoyable competition since TeamGym competitions are must be able to trust their team-mates and coaches, and always known for their excitement, joyfulness and energy.
