By Mauranne Doggen

From the time this quarantine began, there has been some crazy yet super- easy recipes all over the internet. One of the most popular trends has been Dalgona coffee, a beverage made with whipped coffee. With only four simple ingredients, you can add a fun twist to your morning coffee.

Ingredients

2 tablespoons of instant coffee 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar 2 tablespoons of boiling water 1 cup milk of choice (whole, skim, soy, almond, etc…)

Instructions

First, put your instant coffee and sugar into a bowl and mix them together. Then add the boiling water. Using a hand mixer or stand mixer (or just a whisk if you’re up for the challenge), mix / whip the mixture for approximately two minutes or until it is fluffy. Then, add the whipped coffee to a glass of milk of your choice. If you want the coffee to be hot, you will have to heat up the milk first. If you want it iced, just add a few ice cubes. Finally, give it a good stir and enjoy! North Salem News PAGE 3

By Amanda Chefalas

While the world is on total lockdown, some of the most fashion- forward individuals are still making an effort to “dress to im- press.” Who or what are they dressing up for? That question will always remain a mystery. Since most of us probably need a laugh during these dark times, I thought it would be nice to share some of the funkiest outfits that appear to be trending in the media. So without further ado, here are the Top 3 most pop- ular / creative clothing combinations that perfectly sum up our time in quarantine.

Business on Top, Party on Bottom Besides the essential workers who are risking their lives and leaving their homes for the benefit of others (we appreciate you so much), most of us are attending work or class via video con- ferencing. Consequently, only the top half of our bodies are seen by our peers. So why deal with the discomfort of squeez- ing into tight jeans when you can simply just stay in your fuzzy pajama pants? This “business on top, party on bottom” look is perfect for those who want to make a good impression from the shoulders up, but don’t want to deal with the restrictive nature of dress pants. Just don’t make the mistake of standing up mid lecture!

Tie-Dye Sweat Suits What does one yearn for when they feel like they are spiraling out of control? Comfort. Enter the tie-dye sweat suit. As Claire Stern from Glamour magazine puts it, “the tie-dye sweat suit is just chic enough without being overwhelming; just edgy enough without being too in-your-face.” Not to mention, this trendy set is a perfect excuse to close out TikTok and invest some time in a DIY project. All that is required is a pair of sweatpants, a sweat- shirt, some bleach, and a washing machine! It doesn’t get any easier than this!

That Class of 2020 Look There’s no denying the fact that the Class of 2020 deserved better. We worked our butts off for four years knowing that the spring of senior year would make it all worth it. With our prom, graduation, senior prank, and Assassins all up in the air right now, a lot of us are struggling to deal with the losses. And how are we dealing with these built-up emotions? Humor and online shopping. Our fellow Class of 2020 graduates around the world have been teaming up to create some of the most iconic mer- chandise. It’s only fair that we acknowledge the “Senior Skip Day Champions,” and what better way to do so then with a t- shirt?

And if Morgan exceeds expectations, then hopefully the Jets can flip him for another mid-round pick in future drafts. Lastly, the Jets took Cameron Clark, a tackle / guard from Charlotte in the fourth round and Bryce Hall, a cornerback from Virginia, in the fifth round to round out their draft. Clark is a very technically sound player with good size to play tackle or guard in the NFL. Clark will look to compete for a starting spot along the Jets re- vamped O-line. Hall was arguably the Jets’ best value pick. Hall is a first to second round talent but has been plagued by injury. If Hall is healthy, he could provide to be a lethal weapon in Gregg Williams secondary. Overall, in the first two rounds the Jets gave Dar- nold some massive help and after that they did a pretty solid job addressing their secondary and continuing to add offensive talent.
