In June 2016, the SOCSD Board of Education made a commitment to developing a districtwide strategic plan that stresses a well-designed, rigorous, and relevant curriculum; instructional strategies that emphasize a deep understanding of meaningful content along with plenty of opportunities for students to read, write, and think purposefully; and a climate wherein all members of our community feel safe, welcome and ready-to-learn.
