INTRODUCTION The United States has rapidly become a nation of "finger- pointers." It seems as though every time a tragedy occurs, the injured parties, and/or their family members, feel the need to hold someone else responsible for what has happened. Nowadays, injured parties will stop at nothing to make sure that someone pays for what has happened to them or to their loved ones as the case may be. That is not to say that there are not victims that truly deserve to be compensated for the injuries caused by the wrongful acts
