Matchday 25 Serie A TIM 2019-20 21 - 23 February 2020 BRESCIA vs NAPOLI Napoli are unbeaten in Serie A TIM against Brescia since the beginning of 2000, thanks to two wins (one of which in the reverse fixture) and three draws. Napoli lost their last league game against a newly promoted team, 2-3 against Lecce in February: the last time the Partenopei lost consecutive such games was in April 2015 (against Palermo and Empoli) under Rafa Benítez. In the reverse fixture against Napoli, Mario Balotelli scored his first Serie A TIM goal for Brescia; this season he has scored five goals, but only one at Rigamonti - his most recent strike, against Lazio. BOLOGNA vs UDINESE Udinese have won seven of their last 10 Serie A TIM matches against Bologna (L3), including the most recent two. In this period (since 2014), Udinese have won more games against Bologna than any other side in the Italian top-flight. Dall’Ara is the stadium to see the highest average of goals scored from outside the box in Serie A TIM this season (8 in total, 0.7 on average), however only three of these have been scored by Bologna. Stefano Okaka’s first goal in the Italian top-flight this season came in the reverse match against Bologna – Udinese’s striker has never scored in both matches against a single opponent in a single Serie A TIM campaign. SPAL vs JUVENTUS SPAL are unbeaten at home in the 21st century against Juventus in Serie A TIM, thanks to a 0-0 draw in March 2018 and a 2-1 win in April 2019. Each of the last five games between first and last team in the standings at the beginning of a Serie A TIM MD ended with the leaders' enjoying a victory - the last defeat for the team in first place was Juventus against Verona in May 2016, with the Bianconeri having already been crowned champions. Andrea Petagna, who has scored nine goals, can become the first ever player to reach double figures for goals in two different Serie A TIM seasons with SPAL - however he has never scored against Juventus in the competition. FIORENTINA vs MILAN AC Milan have won four of their last eight Serie A TIM matches against Fiorentina (D2 L2), winning the last four against the Viola in the second half of the season. AC Milan have scored 22 goals (excl. penalties) in Serie A TIM this season despite having an Expected Goals total of 33: -11 is the worst such differential in the top-5 European Leagues in 2019/20. With six goals scored, Fiorentina’s Federico Chiesa has equalled his most prolific season in Serie A TIM - he has scored in his last two appearances and could find the net in three games in a row for the first time in the competition. GENOA vs LAZIO Since Simone Inzaghi became Lazio manager (April 2016), the Biancocelesti have won four of their seven Serie A TIM games against Genoa (D1 L2), scoring an average of 2.6 goals per game. Genoa have gained 11 points in seven games under Davide Nicola, only six teams have done better in this period – it’s the same points total that the Rossoblù had gained in their previous 17 Serie A TIM games this season (a league-low in this period). Ciro Immobile (26) needs to score one goal to equal the record for most goals scored after the first 25 Serie A TIM games of a season (27), which belongs to Antonio Angelillo in 1958/59. Since his arrival at Lazio, he has scored 93 goals, fewer than only Lionel Messi (121) and Robert Lewandowski (104) in the top-5 European Leagues. ATALANTA vs SASSUOLO Atalanta have lost only one of their six league games that have followed a Champions League match this season (W3 D2); that defeat came against Bologna. Sassuolo (5.1 passes) and Atalanta (3.3) average more passes in the build up to open play goals than any other sides in Serie A TIM this season. Domenico Berardi could make his 250th appearance for Sassuolo in all competitions. Among forwards in Serie A TIM this season, only three have made more appearances with their current team: José Callejón (335), Lorenzo Insigne (331) and Dries Mertens (306), all with Napoli. HELLAS VERONA vs CAGLIARI Hellas Verona and Cagliari drew their first meeting in Serie A TIM this season (1-1); in the previous 14 top-flight seasons in which they have faced, they have drawn both matches in a single campaign just once (in 1972-73). Hellas Verona are unbeaten in their first eight Serie A TIM games in a calendar year for the first time in their history (W4 D4): the last newly promoted side to avoid defeat in their first nine such matches of a calendar year was Napoli back in 1966. Cagliari forward Giovanni Simeone has scored six goals in Serie A TIM in 2019/20, equalling his most prolific campaign last season; however, his last goal scored away from home in Serie A TIM season was in the first such game played this season against Parma; his run of 11 appearances without finding the net is his longest away goalless run in the competition. TORINO vs PARMA Torino have won just two of their last 15 Serie A TIM matches against Parma (D4 L9), both in 2014/15 when the Ducali finished the season with relegation to Serie B. Parma are one of the two sides, along with Napoli, who are yet to field the same staring XI in back-to-back Serie A TIM games this season. Andrea Belotti could play his 200th game in Serie A TIM. The Torino striker has faced Parma five times in the top-flight, scoring only one goal in the last such fixture. He could become the only player to score 10+ goals in each of the last five seasons in Serie A TIM (currently on nine goals this campaign). ROMA vs LECCE After having lost their first home meeting against Lecce in April 1986, Roma have gone unbeaten in each of their following 14 (W12 D2), included four victories in the last four. Lecce have won their last three Serie A TIM matches; they have never won four in a row in the top-flight, whilst the last promoted team to achieve this was Juventus in April 2008. Roma’s Edin Dzeko, who scored in the reverse meeting with Lecce (his only appearance against them), has found the net in 58% of his Serie A TIM matches against a promoted team (14/24, 19 goals in total) INTER vs SAMPDORIA Inter have won each of their last five league games against Sampdoria; this is the longest current such run for the Nerazzurri against any team currently in Serie A TIM. Sampdoria won their last away game against Torino; manager Claudio Ranieri has not overseen two consecutive away wins in Serie A TIM since January 2012 with Inter. Inter defender Milan Skriniar made his Serie A TIM debut with Sampdoria, making 38 appearances between 2016 and 2017; three of the Slovakian's four goals in the competition have been scored in San Siro, the first of which coming against the Blucerchiati in October 2017..
