She is the first and only choreographer to have received three consecutive Emmy Awards for Outstanding Choreography, and is also the recipient of five MTV Movie Awards for Best Dance Sequence. Her work will soon be seen in the highly anticipated comedy, POMS, starring Diane Keaton, Pam Grier, Jacki Weaver, and Rhea Perlman. Marguerite’s television credits include Amazon’s THE MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL, HBO’s WESTWORLD, Netflix’s GLOW, Netflix’s revival of GILMORE GIRLS, Starz’s BLUNT TALK, the Emmy-winning BEHIND THE CANDELABRA, FX’s AMERICAN HORROR STORY, and HBO’s hit series TRUE BLOOD. Her television episodic credits also include popular shows such as SUPERSTORE, CRIMINAL MINDS: BEYOND BORDERS, CROWDED, MASTERS OF SEX, BUNHEADS, SCORPION, CSI: MIAMI, 3RD ROCK FROM THE SUN, WILL AND GRACE, and DANCING WITH THE STARS. In the world of film Marguerite has choreographed some of the most popular movies of the last 20 years. Her work has spanned from cult hits like SHOWGIRLS, STRIPTEASE and DONNIE DARKO to top blockbuster films such as the AUSTIN POWERS franchise, CHARLIE’S ANGELS, TROPIC THUNDER, MR. AND MRS. SMITH, 10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU, LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE, NO STRINGS ATTACHED, 13 GOING ON 30, and BAD MOMS 2. Her presence in Las Vegas includes Cirque’s long running production of ZUMANITY and LE REVE which was voted “Best Production Show” for six consecutive years. Her theatre work includes HEATHERS THE MUSICAL which won rave reviews for its Los Angeles world premiere and had its Off-Broadway premiere in March 2014. She also choreographed the Broadway productions of WONDERLAND and A CLASS ACT. Marguerite has choreographed for numerous awards shows including The Critics’ Choice Awards, The Oscars (with Hugh Jackman), The Emmys, MTV Movie Awards, Teen Choice, TV Land Awards and VH1 Vogue Fashion Awards. In addition to her television and film work, Marguerite has worked with Grammy winning music icon Adele on CHASING PAVEMENTS which was nominated by MTV for Best Choreography in a music video. Marguerite’s other music videos include working with Lenny Kravitz and Katy Perry. Most recently, he has danced in the record breaking, FOX live event, “Grease Live!”. KC can be seen in feature films such as: “La La Land”,“Ted 2”, Disney’s “Teen Beach 2”, “Teen Beach Movie”, where he plays the Nerd and a Biker. He has worked exclusively with Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Kylie Minogue, Jane Lynch, Emma Stone, Betty White, Boyz II Men, Julianne Hough, Vanessa Hudgens, and Iggy Azalea. He has been in numerous performances on Dancing With The Stars over the past nine seasons choreographed by Mandy Moore, Chris Scott, Dee Caspary, Marty Kedelka, Marguerite Derricks, and Kenny Ortega. KC can be seen in the box office hit “No Strings Attached” and the remake of the movie "FAME," choreographed by Marguerite Derricks. Other credits include Assistant Choreographer for “Easy A” and “90210,” dancing for Rihanna at the VMAs choreographed and is one of Mandy Moore’s assistant choreographers on So You Think You Can Dance. Hannah Douglass grew up in Austin, Texas where she trained before moving to Los Angeles. Hannah has been featured in the films: Footloose, Iron Man 2, Bedtime Stories, Dance Flick, and What to Expect When You’re Expecting. Television shows she has been featured on include: Glee, The Goldberg’s, X- Factor, American Idol, and Dancing with the Stars. Shooting Stars Dance Faculty Katie Freeman Dance Company Director & Choreographer, Ballet, Technique Katie began her dance training at the young age of 5. Early on, her focus was primarily ballet, attending summer workshops with the Atlanta Ballet and Houston Ballet. A highlight of her young dance career was touring for two holiday seasons with the Texas Ballet as the lead role, Clara, in the Nutcracker. After completing high school at age 17, she moved to Los Angeles to expand her horizons and training with a year long intensive scholarship program with the legendary Joe Tremaine. She studied under renowned master teachers such as Jackie Sleight, Doug Caldwell, Marguerite Derricks, Sallie Whalen, Michael Rooney and countless others. She assisted Joe Tremaine and taught the children's program at his professional studio in Hollywood for several years. Although she loved performing, her true calling was "in the studio"... as a teacher and choreographer! In March 2000, she followed her dreams and opened her first studio. She is proud to mentor young dancers and provide them the knowledge and support to pursue their dreams. Nicole Sanchez Dance Company Asst. Growing up she trained and competed in jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical, and hip hop. She was also on a competitive acrobatic team for 5 years. She has performed all over the LA area and has made numerous appearances in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.
