People like Jon Spencer and Bradford Cox have covered his songs. His voice is often cited as being one of the finest rock'n'roll voices of today, and has been called 'patient zero' as a main influence in the modern garage/doo-wop sound. A cult figure, an underrated gem, and sorcerer, Mark continues to hammer out top-shelf releases and songs while touring incessantly, his live act said to sound and feel like 'a haunted stereo playing pirate radio, complete with all of the static and anticipation'.
