Pre-Conference Workshops are an excellent method to improve your knowledge on specific subjects. ASME Workshops are put together by industry experts and focus on day-to-day issues that can be used to optimize your plant so you can “Get the Most out of Your Megawatts”. This year were are pleased to announce we have four high quality workshops Executive Committee sponsored by our Technical Committees. These work shops provide valuable information for the early career engineer 2013-2014 and are technical enough that the seasoned engineer will also find them of value. The below outlines the pre-conference Chair workshops being offered this year: Mr. James Wieters • Turbines & Generators (2-days) sponsored by the Turbine, Generator & Auxiliaries Committee SCE&G VC Sumer Nuclear Station • Heat Rate Assessment (1/2 day) sponsored by the Heat Exchanger Committee Tel: 803-345-4598 Critical Pumps (1/2 day) sponsored by the Combined Cycle Committee Email: [email protected] • • Total Condenser Performance (1/2 day) sponsored by the Heat Exchanger Committee. Vice Chair Frank Michell In addition to the above the Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM) Committee will be hosting a 1/2 day tutorial AEP American Electric Power on the Thursday morning of the Conference.
