The BEATLES Story Experience The Beatles Museum is located on Albert Dock, Liverpool, about 30 minutes from Manchester. Today it is one of the must-sees of Liverpool. All the fans of this mythical group love it. Indeed, it retraces the story of the most famous four boys of the 60s and during this journey into the past you will relive the life and the career of the Beatles, their culture, and their music... This unique attraction transports us from the Cavern Club to Beatlemania of Hamburg. The visitors discover how Paul McCartney met John Lennon for the first time on the Woolton's village party. The tape guide makes the legend alive thanks to John’s sister , Julia. The reconstitution of The Kasbah club, a replica of the Yellow Submarine, and many other displays allow us to learn about the story of the group and their legacy. Reconstitution of the Cavern Club It's where that the future manager of the Beatles, Brian Epstein saw them playing for the first time, on November 9th, 1961. The reconstitution is such as was in the time and we can see the signatures of the members of the band as well drawings on the wall behind the stage. Yellow Submarine The Yellow Submarine is one of the most popular songs of the group. It was composed by Ringo Starr and was played for the first time in 1966. Originally a song for children, but it's not a conventional song. How it started John Lennon summarized the debuts of the group so : "once upon a time three little boys named John, George and Paul, of their given names. They decided to put themselves together because they were of the kind to put themselves together. When they were together, they looked for something to do. Then they decided to have guitars and they made some noise. At the beginning, nobody was interested." About the Beatles ... The band was created in 1957. The Beatles were recognized as probably the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed band in the story of popular music. The Boys’ Band was composed of four ; John Lennon and Paul McCartney (the song-writing duo which made their quartet's success), and George Harrison and Ringo Starr. The Fab Four became figureheads of the social and cultural revolutions of the 1960s. In ten years of existence they sold over one billion records. They had a major impact on their generation and the next. Their style, their clothing, their speeches, their international popularity, their social and political consciousness were copied. "The Beatlemania" as we call the excessive demonstration of fans went beyond their music. Today their influence continues. What we think… To conclude, we loved this visit. It was very interesting and we learnt a lot of things about Beatles. It's a wonderful place for all the fans of the Beatles. We can see amazing reconstitutions and rare objects which belonged to the Fab Four. Laure DOUGNAC, Jérémy GUILLON, Anaïs VAURY .
