– Canary Islands Cruise Program from Tenerife – – Canary Islands Cruise Program from Tenerife – DAY PLACE PROGRAM Embarkation between 14:30 and 16:00 from Los Christianos Port, bustling with life due to its 1 Tenerife - wide range of bars, restaurants and resorts. After you board, you will enjoy a Welcome Cristianos Port Cocktail followed by an evening dinner. Late embarkation is possible until 23:00. Overnight in port. Early morning arrival in Santa Cruz de la Palma. Optional full day excursion visiting the historic old town of Santa Cruz de La Palma and to Taburiente National Park. Then travel 2 La Palma - towards the crater itself, weather permitting. A visit to El Paso, a nice traditional Canary Santa Cruz de village will take place just in time before we stop in a restaurant for an inclusive lunch. The la Palma tour continues with the visit La Glorieta near Las Manchas and arrival at the Volcano San Antonio for an optional walk to the volcano rim. Overnight in Port. Early morning sailing and arrival in Valle Gran Rey, La Gomera Island. Upon morning arrival in Valle Gran Rey de La Gomera. There you can participate in the optional half day 3 La Gomera - excursion passing through the villages of Arure and Valle Hermoso to reach the small village Valle Gran Rey of Rosas, where you can enjoy a demonstration of the famous Gomera whistling language. Continue to the Garajonay National Park, a paradise of laurel, nature reserve, declared as Universal Patrimony by the UNESCO. Evening sailing to Tenerife. We arrive in Santa Cruz de Tenerife in the morning. Optional half day excursion to Santa Cruz and La Laguna, former capital of Tenerife and UNESCO Heritage Site. We start in the Tenerife - central Plaza del Adelantado which is surrounded by historical buildings, then we visit the 4 Santa Cruz de Town Hall which dates back to 1.546, the Casa de Anchieta, the Palacio de Nava with its Tenerife original stone façade and the Monastery of Santa Catalina de Siena. We will then continue to the capital city of Tenerife, Santa Cruz, where you will find the modern auditorium and you can visit the heart of the city, la Plaza de España. Evening sailing to Lanzarote. Overnight at sea. Morning arrival in Lanzarote. Optional half day excursion to Lanzarote during which we will visit the southern part of the island to admire a panoramic view of the El Janubio salt mines Lanzarote - and the famous “Lava Coast”, “Los Hervideros” rocks engraved by the sea action and the 5 Marina wind erosion. We continue to El Golfo, travelling into the Fire Mountains and among Rubicon/Playa volcanoes to visit the Timanfaya National Park. After a short stop for an inclusive lunch, we Blanca visit the César Manrique Foundation. We continue towards La Geria the Lanzarote wine route which includes a careful selection of wineries. Tasting of the best wines of Lanzarote is included in the optional excursion. Overnight in port. In the morning we arrive in Corralejo Port. Enjoy an optional half day excursion on the island and discover Betancuria, the original capital of the aborigine Kingdom of the Canary Islands, and later capital of Fuerteventura until 1.834. Once in Betancuria we will visit La 6 Fuerteventura - Casa Santa María. There we will be introduced to the islands traditions and go to a goat farm Corralejo Port and find out how Majorero cheeses are prepared, also we have the opportunity to taste it. On our way back to Corralejo we stop in an Aloe Vera factory to learn about its impressive health benefits. Afternoon at leisure with the possibility for a swim at the nearby beach. In the late evening we sail to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Gran Canaria Island. Overnight at sea. We arrive in Las Palmas in the morning. The optional half day excursion takes to Villa de Teror, the main religious centre of the island, almost overshadowed by the 18th century Gran Canaria - Basilica de Nuestra Señora Del Pino. Past Valleseco town, you will see the famous rock 7 Las Palmas de monuments of the island: Roque Nublo, Roque Bentayga and Roque El Fraile. We pass Gran Canaria through Tafira and stop on the Canary Island Botanical Garden to enjoy its impressive collection of plants and trees from the Macaronesia Region. Se distinguen tres periodos de características diferenciadas. El primero, antes de los años setenta, supone el desarrollo de una incipiente industria turística, donde predominan el capital belga y francés; el segundo es un periodo que abarca desde 1973 hasta 1983, en estos 10 años la isla experimenta un cambio sustancial, el capital alemán se vuelve hegemónico y se desarrolla con fuerza el denominado turismo de masas, sobre todo en el municipio de Tías (Puerto del Carmen); por último a partir de principios de los ochenta nos encontramos con una etapa de similares características que la anterior hasta 1995, con un gran desarrollo de Yaiza y Teguise, a partir de esta fecha y hasta la actualidad se introducen los valores de sostenibilidad, aunque sin demasiado éxito, pues se sigue construyendo mucho y no de precisamente alta calidad.

    LA SOCIEDAD FILARMÓNICA Y DE RECREO DE GÜÍMAR (1884-1909) Y LA BANDA DE MÚSICA QUE ALBERGÓ EN SU SENO 1 OCTAVIO RODRÍGUEZ DELGADO (Cronista Oficial de Güímar) [blog.octaviordelgado.es ] Desde comienzos del siglo XIX se celebraban animados bailes en diversas casas particulares del municipio, sobre todo con motivo de las Fiestas de San Pedro en Güímar y las de San José en El Escobonal. Pero pronto surgieron los casinos, las primeras sociedades culturales y recreativas del municipio. La pionera fue la Sociedad “El Porvenir Democrático” (1869-1874), a la que siguieron la Sociedad “Filarmónica y de Recreo” de Güímar (1884- 1909), el Casino de Güímar (1900-), único que sobrevive hasta el presente, la Sociedad “Euterpe” (1910-1914)2 y el Casino “La Unión” (1915-1924)3. En este artículo solo nos vamos a dedicar a la segunda de ellas. En la calle San Pedro Abajo de Güímar se estableció la Sociedad Filarmónica y de Recreo, que existió durante unos 25 años y en los últimos compartió su actividad con el Casino de Güímar. FUNDACIÓN DE LA SOCIEDAD Y ABSORCIÓN DE LA BANDA DE MÚSICA La “Sociedad Filarmónica y de Recreo” de Güímar fue fundada el 19 abril de 1884 en la calle San Pedro Abajo de la cabecera municipal.     64 vinos se catan en la segunda fase del Concurso Agrocanarias que se celebra en La Gomera El Mejor Vino de Canarias, junto a otras distinciones del certamen, organizado por el Gobierno de Canarias, se anunciarán la próxima semana en Tenerife La Gomera ha acogido hoy la segunda fase del Concurso Oficial de Vinos Agrocanarias2019, certamen regional de carácter anual organizado por la Consejería de Agricultura, Ganadería, Pesca y Aguas del Gobierno de Canarias, a través del Instituto Canario de Calidad Agroalimentaria (ICCA), en el que se elige el Mejor Vino de Canarias entre 173 participantes. De éstos, 3 son de La Gomera, 16 de Gran Canaria, 5 de La Palma, 3 de Lanzarote, 9 de El Hierro, 5 de Ycoden Daute Isora, 47 de Abona, 30 de Tacoronte-Acentejo, 28 de Valle de Güímar, 5 de Valle de La Orotava y 22 de Islas Canarias. Durante la jornada, que se celebró en el Hotel Jardín Tecina, una veintena de catadores han analizado mediante el sistema de cata ciega un total de 64 vinos -12 blancos jóvenes secos, 2 espumosos, 3 semisecos, 10 semidulces, 11 rosados, 15 tintos, 3 crianzas, 5 dulces y 3 malvasías dulces-. En la inauguración de esta sesión, el director del ICCA, José Díaz-Flores, explicó que ésta es la decimonovena edición de Agrocanarias en la modalidad de vinos, “un concurso consolidado que es un referente en la promoción de los vinos canarios y cuyos ganadores tienen un importante impulso comercial”. Por su parte, la consejera de Agricultura, Ganadería, Pesca y Aguas del Cabildo de La Gomera, Rosa Chinea, comentó que “es un orgullo que el Ejecutivo canario celebre esta sesión en la isla, que ya acogió en otras ediciones el Concurso Agrocanarias de Gofio”.

Entre ellas, se incluyen 28 especies que aparecen de forma escasa para las que se muestra su distribución espacio-temporal en 2019 mediante mapas y gráficas (véase De Juana y Garcia, 2015; Gil-Velasco et al ., 2018; Rouco et al ., 2018). Para contabilizar el número de citas para cada espe- cie escasa se revisaron las observaciones disponibles en diferentes plataformas de recogida de datos, especialmente en eBird ( eBird , 2020; Observado , 2020; Reservoir Birds , 2020 y Ornitho , 2020), des - cartando aquellas que aparentemente correspondieran a las mismas citas hechas por diferentes observa - dores con el objeto de contar con muestras de datos lo suficientemente homogéneas. Para el archipiélago canario, se incorpora un buen número de citas correspondientes al episodio de calima que se produjo a finales de febrero de 2020. Dichas circunstancias meteorológicas provocaron la arribada de muchas aves accidentales procedentes del noroeste africano de las que dará cuenta el correspondiente informe del Comité de Rarezas de SEO/BirdLife, junto con muchas otras especies de paso que se pudieron observar en las islas con mayor frecuencia y en números más altos de lo habitual, y de las que se sinte- tiza en el presente informe aquellas observaciones más relevantes. Se sigue la secuencia taxonómica de acuerdo con la nueva lista patrón de las aves de España (Rouco et al ., 2019).
