FACILITIES RENTAL POLICY Facilities Rental Policy Page 1 of 4 Effective July 1, 2014 1) Purpose a) As set forth in the Regulations for Use of San Diego State University Buildings and Grounds policy, Business and Financial Affairs under the supervision of the Vice President for Business and Financial Affairs is responsible for all financial and contractual transactions involving the university, including rental or lease of campus facilities. b) San Diego State University has rented its facilities to campus and non-campus groups since 1981 and continues to do so while preserving the academic and research mission of the university and maintaining campus safety and security. c) This policy document is intended to establish general guidelines for the use and rental of university facilities for both campus and non-campus groups. 2) Scope a) This policy applies to all use of university facilities for events and activities other than scheduled instruction. b) For purposes of this policy, “university facility” shall include all spaces under the jurisdiction of the university whether on the campus itself or at other locations. c) This policy excludes facilities that are managed by Auxiliaries or Enterprise Funds and operated under separate facilities use policies, procedures and fees. 3) Definitions a) Non-campus group: Any outside person or group that holds a function on campus. As defined in SUAM, the following types of groups may use university facilities: government agencies; nonprofit, charitable, educational or character-building organizations; and groups or individuals who will use the facility for education or non-commercial uses. Auxiliary Organizations and Student organizations not recognized by Student Life and Leadership are considered non-campus groups for purposes of these guidelines. -

Impact Report Autumn 2020 A Message From Our Board Chair When we started our 2019-2020 academic year, no one could have imagined the changes that would come in the months ahead; some were extraordinarily positive and others very challenging but all changed the face of Cristo Rey San José. In October of 2019, George and Judy Marcus made a donation of $10 million to Cristo Rey San José. This transformational gift created a new funding model for our school by establishing an endowment which will provide financial support in perpetuity and create permanency to our mission. In celebrating one of our most historic moments, another loomed ahead. By March of 2020, we had no choice but to close our doors and move to a virtual teaching and learning BRYAN POLSTER environment. ANNUAL REPORT 2020 FISCAL YEAR UPDATES FROM THE CEO A N E W N A M E On July 1, 2020, we officially changed our name to Momentum for Health. This change comes as the result of continuing to expand and improve our programs to fit the changing needs of the community. With the launch of Substance Use Treatment Services and our continued focus on the well- being of each client's physical, mental and emotional health, the name change reflects our commitment to providing whole person care along a comprehensive continuum of care. MANAGING COVID-19 In March 2020, our community was hit with COVID-19, a pandemic that required our agency to reconsider our approach to services and adjust to the digital world of telehealth in a very short period of time. Momentum worked hard to continue providing high-quality, essential behavioral health services to our community throughout shelter in place and beyond. While Momentum's residential programs were at full capacity, the organization's outpatient services became a mix of in-person and virtual services. In addition, new protocols were put in place that paralleled the County's guidelines to ensure both the health and safety of our clients and staff. As a result, we were able to successfully navigate the situation and keep our positive COVID-19 cases to a minimum. The stadium, designed by Gary Allen, is one of the last remaining mid-century multi-purpose stadiums left in the United States. Review of its future and potential re-use of the site should be informed by a thorough, legally adequate environmental review pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). Our law firm has been involved in efforts to ensure CEQA is properly implemented in projects throughout the state, including in sports stadiums. We helped oppose special exemptions for football stadium proposals in the Cities of Industry and Los Angeles (Farmers Field), and continue to be opposed to public agencies providing special treatment or unique processes for sports stadiums. We view the Mission Valley proposal as the latest in this string of poor policy decisions seeking quick approval and avoidance of CEQA rather than protection of the environment and affected communities to the greatest extent possible and necessary.
