Updates zur Verletzung Nur für starke Mägen: #AllenHurns just had his foot turned the other way. #Cowboys #Seahawks pic.twitter.com/LMHKJwBjrw — James J. Gutierrez (@jamesjgutierrez) 6. Januar 2019 I refuse to show the Allen Hurns replay. This is what happened folks. Prayers Up #SEAvsDAL?? pic.twitter.com/QTHwGA9eEj — Dylan (@DylansRawTake) 6.

  • Vance Joseph to Return As Broncos' Head Coach in 2018
Vance Joseph to return as Broncos’ head coach in 2018 By Nicki Jhabvala Denver Post January 2, 2018 Despite a 5-11 season, eight defeats by double digits and a playoffless finish, the Broncos will retain coach Vance Joseph for next season, giving him a chance “to fix it,” just as he had hoped. Joseph met with John Elway early Monday to learn of the general manager’s decision and to mull changes to the coaching staff, which included the departure of six assistants. “Vance and I had a great talk this morning about our plan to attack this offseason and get better as a team,” Elway tweeted Monday morning. “We believe in Vance as our head coach. Together, we’ll put in the work to improve in all areas and win in 2018. “To all our fans: THANK YOU for your tremendous support and sticking with us through a tough year. This wasn’t the season anyone expected, but we’ll learn from it and be better because of it. Our 2018 season starts today.” In keeping Joseph for 2018, Elway spared the Broncos of a fourth head coaching change in five years and provided a significant cost savings. Had Joseph left, the Broncos could have had to pay the remaining salaries of most of two coaching staffs. Joseph was hired last January after the resignation of Gary Kubiak and was immediately labeled “a leader of men” because of his ability to relate to players on both sides of the ball, and to work well with fellow coaches. The Broncos had tried to bring in Joseph as defensive coordinator in 2015, but the Cincinnati Bengals refused to release him from his contract.

  • Opportunity on the Road to Success by Logan Underwood
Opportunity on the Road to Success By Logan Underwood In the sea of society, many drift under the influence of powerful undercurrents of reality. People are shaped by the colour of our skin, the places we grew up, and the wealth of our parents. These factors have a profound impact on the direction in which people travel in their lives. The currents that control our lives are powerful because they pull the strings that define our paths. They change the scenery and the obstacles by putting some individuals on a pedestal while putting others on a much more challenging journey. Societal norms of nepotism and connections disproportionally place minorities at a disadvantage from their white colleagues as they are promoted. In 2003 the National Football League (NFL) instituted the Rooney Rule, which required one minority to be interviewed during the head coach hiring process (Carroll, 2018). The rule was put in action to make the number of minority coaches more representative of a sport that's players were 69.0% African American (Lapchick, 2019). As the most recent season coaching hiring season concluded, it became clear that the number of minority coaches with jobs would decrease significantly. Figure 1 (Payne, 2019) In the 2020 season, it will be the second season that 12.5% of coaches will be of colour. It is the lowest two-season stretch since the Rooney Rule was adopted in two thousand three (Lapchick, 2019). The 2019 season was important in determining the schematic direction of the league's coaches. Coaches Marvin Lewis, Todd Bowles, Steven Wilks, and Vance Joseph, who were all African American, were fired.

  • Tomlin Latest Minority Fellowship Grad to Join Head-Coaching Ranks; Makes It a Foursome with Edwards, Lewis & Smith
TOMLIN LATEST MINORITY FELLOWSHIP GRAD TO JOIN HEAD-COACHING RANKS; MAKES IT A FOURSOME WITH EDWARDS, LEWIS & SMITH The NFL MINORITY COACHING FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM keeps producing head coaches. In 2007, it will be MIKE TOMLIN, new head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers who is only the third head coach in the past 38 years for the club. Tomlin interned with the Cleveland Browns in the summer of 2000 when he was the defensive backs coach of the University of Cincinnati. He joins three other minority coaches who partook in the fellowship program who are now NFL head coaches – HERM EDWARDS of the Kansas City Chiefs, MARVIN LEWIS of the Cincinnati Bengals and LOVIE SMITH of the Chicago Bears. These four make up the majority of the six African-American head coaches in the league this year. The NFL Minority Coaching Fellowship Program, instituted in 1981, provides training-camp positions for minority coaches at NFL clubs. Nearly 1,000 minority coaches have participated in the program since its inception. Tomlin definitely feels that the fellowship prepared him for his new job. “The coaching fellowship gave me an opportunity to learn what I needed to do if I wanted to coach in the NFL,” he says. “As a head coach, I plan to utilize the fellowship to the fullest to give others the same opportunities that were afforded to me.” Tomlin recently promoted Steelers defensive line coach JOHN MITCHELL – the first African-American assistant coach to be a defensive coordinator in the Southeastern Conference when he was at LSU in 1990 – to be the Steelers’ assistant head coach.

  • VANCE JOSEPH HEAD COACH – 13Th NFL Season (1St with Broncos)
VANCE JOSEPH HEAD COACH – 13th NFL Season (1st with Broncos) Vance Joseph enters his first season with the Denver Broncos after being named the 16th head coach in franchise history on Jan. 11, 2017. Joseph joined the Broncos after spending the 2016 season as defensive coordinator for the Miami Dolphins. Known for his outstanding leadership qualities and strong vision for success, Joseph, 44, has coached for 18 seasons at the pro and college levels following his two-year NFL playing career as a defensive back. Joseph has spent more than a decade of his football life in the state of Colorado. In addition to competing with the Broncos as a defensive back during the 1997 preseason, Joseph played quarterback at the University of Colorado from 1990-94 and coached another five seasons at his alma mater from 1999-2003. During his NFL career, Joseph has coached defensively for Miami (2016), Cincinnati (2014-15), Houston (2011-13) and San Francisco (2005- 10). His teams have advanced to the postseason in five of the last six years while capturing three division titles during that span. In his lone season as defensive coordinator for Miami, Joseph helped the team to a 10-6 record and its first playoff berth in eight seasons. Using an attacking-style front designed to thrive on critical plays, Joseph’s defensive unit held opponents to a 36.9-percent success rate on third downs to rank fourth in the NFL. Dolphins defensive linemen Ndamukong Suh and Cameron Wake experienced resurgent seasons under Joseph in 2016, each earning their fifth Pro Bowl trip and anchoring a unit decimated by injuries in the second half of the year.
