The Seller warrants that each animal offered for sale has been bred by the Seller unless otherwise stated in the sale particulars. 2. The Seller guarantees the identity, correctness of pedigree, history and description of each animal submitted for sale. 3. The Seller warrants that each bull over the age of eight months at the date of sale is capable of getting stock by natural service from fourteen months of age. This shall be deemed to be fulfilled as soon as four females or fifty percent, whichever shall be the lesser number of animals put to the bull, are in calf to the bull by natural service subsequent to the sale. 4. The Purchaser shall give the bull sufficient time and opportunity to prove itself capable of getting stock by natural service while applying the standards of good husbandry and management. If any bull proves to be incapable of service or of getting stock any claim in respect of this warranty must be intimated in writing by the Purchaser to the Auctioneers not earlier than thirty days and not later than ninety days from the date of sale or within 60 days of the bull’s attaining the age of fourteen months (whichever is the later). 5. Any bull which does not remain in the possession of the Purchaser; 4. Any bull which dies before determination of the alleged breach of warranty. 7. The Auctioneers, on receipt of notification of a claim, will immediately inform the Seller, at the same time sending to the Purchaser by registered post a Bull Fertility Report Form which shall form the basis of claim. In all cases this form together with the necessary Veterinary Certification must be returned to the Auctioneers within 30 days of the date of intimation by the Purchaser. 8. In the event of a breach of warranty, the Purchaser may return the bull to the Seller who shall at the Purchaser’s option either replace the bull with another bull of equal value which is capable of and effective at natural service or refund the purchase price together with the cost of transport, veterinary fees and keep. The Seller shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss or for any other loss whatsoever. 9. • MINUTES of the MEETING on 2 April, 2014 in Tarland Primary
MINUTES OF THE MEETING ON 2nd April, 2014 in Tarland Primary School PRESENT: Cllr. Katrina Farquhar, Simon Welfare (Chairman), Sue Erskine, Alec McVean, Veronica Ross, Nigel Healey plus eleven members of the public. APOLOGIES: Anke Addy, Cllr. Peter Argyle, Cllr. Geva Blackett, Evelyn Smith, Police Scotland, 1. Community Action Plans: Logie Coldstone is not yet ready to get involved in a Community Action Plan and it was recommended that the process be delayed until later in the year. 2. Cromar Report 2.1 Tarland Conversation Area Proposal. There was a wide-ranging discussion on the conservation area proposal. Amongst the points made were: The residents of Tarland are already proud of and take care of their homes and the area. Compliance with conservation requirements would impose additional financial burdens on homeowners within the conservation area. Conservation areas may attract funding. The establishment of a conservation area imposes an additional layer of bureaucracy, which might prove to be over-restrictive. Older residents might not understand the implications of living within a conservation area. Attendees at the meeting were urged to make their views known to Aberdeenshire Council and it was confirmed that the Community Council would be making a contribution to the consultation which would reflect the view of the community. 2.2 Ordie Phone Box: The resident who lives adjacent to the Ordie phone box does not want it to be removed but it is regarded as a traffic hazard by the residents of the road that exits onto the A97. Aberdeenshire Council will be asked to carry out a formal safety assessment of the road junction.

North‐East Scotland Branch Newsletter September 2013 Welcome to the newsletter of your local SOC branch. With some significant changes affecting the branch, and some exciting events coming up, we thought it was time to issue a local newsletter to all our members. While we don’t anticipate this being a regular occurrence, please do contact me if you have anything you would like to include in a future edition, or with any other comments. Other ways to keep up to date with branch news are through our page on the SOC website (http://www.the‐ soc.org.uk/whats‐on/local‐branches‐2/grampian/), which we hope to be adding to soon, and by email. If you’d like to receive email updates about branch news and events, it would be great to have your email address. While we do have many members’ addresses, there are about fifty for whom we don’t. If you think that we might not have your correct (or preferred) address, please send an email to me at grampian.secretary@the‐soc.org.uk. I hope to see you at a branch event soon. Hugh Addlesee, Branch Secretary A new name for the local branch At the Annual General Meeting in April this year, the local SOC branch name officially changed from ‘Grampian’ to ‘North‐East Scotland’, disposing of an unloved and inappropriate name and clearing the way for new SOC developments in Moray (see below). The local group was founded in 1947, and for nearly 30 years it was called the Aberdeen Branch.
