Become an STNA; Training Takes Less than a Year If you enjoy helping people, consider becoming a State Tested Nurse Aide. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of nurse assistants is projected to grow 21 percent from 2012 to 2022, faster than the average for all occupations. The 87-hour STNA program at CVCC can help you prepare to work as a State Tested Nurse Aide in a hospital or long-term care facility.
