MAXIMUM DOMINATION Max Domi recorded his 20th career multi-point game at ANA, Oct. 5 and has now recorded 2-3-5 in three career season openers. The 22-year-old forward is just 6 points away from 100 career NHL points and he is on pace to become the fastest player to score the first 100 points of their NHL careers with the Coyotes (28-66-94 in 144 games). The only players to record their first career 100 NHL points with the Coyotes are Peter Mueller (187 games) and Daniel Briere (190 games).

STEPAN UP Derek Stepan posted 17-38-55 in 81 games to finish third in scoring with the Rangers last season and has finished every season ranked third or higher on the Rangers in points since the 2012-13 campaign. The veteran forward has recorded at least 53 points in the last four seasons and is one of just seven US-born players to have compiled four consecutive 50 point years (Elias).

DUCK, DUCK GOOSE Alex Goligoski collected 3 assists at ANA on Oct. 5 to begin the season and became the first Coyotes player to record at least 3 points in a season opener since Radim Vrbata recorded a hat trick on Oct. 3, 2013 to begin the season vs. NYR. He is 1 of just 7 players in ARI history to record 3 or more points to begin a season. HAMMER TIME Niklas Hjalmarsson joins the Coyotes after spending 10 seasons with the Chicago Blackhawks, winning three Stanley Cups. The 30- year-old is coming off a season where he scored a career-high 5 goals and blocked a career-high 181 shots. According to Elias, his 1,166 blocked shots since 2009 are the fifth-most of all NHL skaters.

DVOTED CHRISTIAN Christian Dvorak scored 15 goals during his rookie season which were the fifth-most by a first-year skater in Coyotes history. The 21- year-old also won 471 face-offs which became an ARI record by a rookie and the second most among all NHL rookies last year. Dvorak scored 11 of his 15 goals from Feb. 2 through the end of the year, which were the 4th-most among NHL rookies during that time.

SCHENNSATIONAL In his first season with the Coyotes, Luke Schenn finished third in the NHL with 286 hits and was one of two players to have over 200 hits and 134 blocked shots. The veteran blueliner’s 286 hits are Schenn’s single season career-high and the most in a single season by an Arizona player since hits were kept as a consistent stat during the 2005-06 season. Schenn’s 1,867 hits since he entered the NHL in 2008 are the most among all NHL defensemen.

GOOD TOC Rick Tocchet was named the 18th head coach in franchise history on July 13, 2017. Tocchet, 53, joins the Coyotes following three seasons and back-to-back Stanley Cup championships as an assistant coach with the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Scarborough, Ontario native spent a year as an assistant coach with the Coyotes in 2005-06 and spent three seasons with the Coyotes as a player, totaling 64-66-130 (1997-2000).
