Media Release – For Immediate Release CREEPING CHARLIE PRESENTS WILSON DIXON FOR THE FIRST TIME. AGAIN. Back from Cripple Creek Colorado for a visit, NZ’s favourite country music leGend, Wilson Dixon, is back For the First Time. Again. Running from the 11 – 14 May at Macs Function Centre, Wilson Dixon for the First Time. Again. promises to follow in its prequel’s tracks to a sell-out season. With his messy divorce to Maureen now firmly behind him (or rather beside him - Maureen is still livinG next door with his neiGhbour Dwayne). Wilson has officially moved on and has fallen in love. Things are good, as long as Maureen stays on her side of the hedge, and Wilson’s large extended family can bring themselves to accept someone “from outta town”, and how will his anGry horse “Andrew” and his doG “Biscuit” react to a new lady in the house? Wilson Dixon‘s star has not stopped risinG since he won the supreme New Zealand International Comedy Festival FRED Award in 2010. Wilson took the UK scene by storm playing seasons at Edinburgh FrinGe, GlasGow Comedy Festival and the Leicester Comedy Festival -to name but a few. Dixon has worked with comedy Greats, Stewart Lee, Stephen K Amos and David O’Doherty and was nominated for the coveted Chortle Comedy award. Wilson is a New Zealand International Comedy Festival’s Comedy Gala favourite and he looks forward to brinGinG his own dead-pan style of killer one- liners and great musical comedy back to NZ – this time he is in love… will it mean a more mellow Wilson? Is that even possible? “Simply sensational and utterly unmissable” - Tvnz.co.nz “Deadpan delivery of some of the funniest songs you’ll ever hear…” - Time Out, UK "...the kind of fella who could make you laugh 'til the cows come home...Dixon's deadpan patter is gut- bustlingly funny, but it's his beautifully crafted songs that really impress." - The Scotsman WILSON DIXON – FOR THE FIRST TIME.
