Due to immigration laws currently in place required trials, hearings, and counsel for those found to be illegally migrating to the country, which also led to the overwhelming of immigration courts and other government facilities, such as temporary shelter for the immigrants. This caused tensions to rise in terms of government and political parties, due to the large amount of taxpayer money spent to take care of the immigration problem.
