The trek, which stretches over 47 km, magnicently switches landscapes from the boulders-strewn stretches, snow-fed lakes, sparkling rivers, mighty mountains, vast valleys, scenic meadows, ower sections, and heaven- like peaceful arena. The Tarsar Lake or Tar Sar is an almond-shaped alpine lake situated in Aru, Jammu, and Kashmir and separated by 4000 by Marsar Lake, popularly known as the twin sister of Tarsar lake for its similar nature. The elusive Marsar lake is almost always hidden under a shroud of clouds that wa their way through the U-shaped valley to sele above the lake nally.

THE PLAN IN DETAIL

What we will do ?

Private Vehicle Tents All Meals

Day 1: Commence the journey from Srinagar to Aru; acclimatize for the day. Day 2: Trek to Lidderwat, covering vast views; witness the Lidder river and Kolahoi glacier meeting. Day 3: Trek to Shekwas. On the way, catch your breath while talking to locals and visit Bakerwal shelters. Day 4: Ascent to Tarsar Lake. Also, look at Kolahoi peaks covering and overlooking the lake. Day 5: Climb to Sundersar lake aer crossing the Tarsar pass Day 6: Reach the highest point of our trek to Marsar lake that also connects to . Stay overnight at Homwas Day 7: Final descent to Aru. From Aru, we pack our bags and return to Srinagar.

HOW TO REACH

Srinagar is the summer capital, which is in between the months’ May and October, it is majorly connected to dierent pas of India via rail, road and air. Please note that you will have to bear all expenses related to your travel to Srinagar from your place.

By Air Sheikh ul Alam Airpo or Srinagar Airpo is an international airpo. It is well connected and airlines oer regular ights from Srinagar to Delhi, Mumbai and Chandigarh. The airpo is just 15 km away from the centre of the city. By Rail To reach Srinagar by train, one has to reach either Jammu Tawi or Udhampur railway station. The stations are well connected with dierent pas of India. By Road By road, Srinagar can be reached from major cities like Delhi (876 km), Chandigarh (646 km), Leh (424 km), and Jammu (258 km). There is good Bus service and Cab service available.

THINGS TO CARRY

Trekking Shoes ( Do not carry sneakers/ spos shoes. Carry shoes that has good grip and ankle suppo) Backpack (40 -60 litres): A backpack with sturdy straps and a suppoing frame. Rain cover for a backpack is essential. Daypack 20 litres: On the day of the summit, you’ll need a smaller backpack to carry water, snacks and your medical kit. Bring a foldable backpack. Layers/Warm Clothes/Thermals Trek Pants/T-shis/Undergarments as per your convenience. Carry the actual number required and stay light Sunglasses, Suncap, sunscreen. Hand gloves, socks 2 pairs and woollen socks Headlamp/LED Torch is mandatory Trekking Pole Poncho/Raincoat Cutlery: Carry a spoon, coee mug, and a lunch box. ( Mandatory ) Personal Medikit Toiletries: moisturizer, light towel, lip balm, toilet paper, toothbrush, toothpaste, hand sanitizer. Do not carry wet wipes. One 1 litre water bole. Plastic covers: carry a few extra plastic bags for wet clothes. Make sure you take them back and not lier the mountains.
