Thursday afternoon, May 28th– Erev Shavuos – 5thof Sivan • An Eiruv Tavshilin should be prepared – page 654 in the Artscroll Siddur. • Candle lighting should take place by 8:22 pm.

First Night / Morning of Shavuos(Thursday Night / Friday morning) • should not begin before Tzeis Hakochavim –9:37 pm. • Maariv for Yom Tov with the proper insertions for Shavuos. • Kiddush for Yom Tov with Shehechiyanu. • Shavuos night learning • The earliest time for Tallis is as at 4:11 am. One who stayed up for the entire night should try to time davening so that one reaches the at sunrise / Netz HaChamah, which is at 5:20 am. • Birchos Hashachar / Birchos HaTorah for one who stayed up the entire night: ◦ If one slept for a half hour during the night, he may recite all of the brachos. ◦ If one slept for a half hour on Erev Yom Tov, he may recite birchas Hatorah. ◦ If one did not sleep at all, they should hear the brachos from someone who did sleep.
