THIS month the Eric Liddell Centre volunteer-led Caring Soles personal footcare service celebrates six months delivering low-cost, friendly footcare at Restalrig Lochend Community Hub. All volunteers attend training in basic footcare with the Eric Liddell Centre and NHS Lothian Podiatry, with ongoing support given, and we are keen to expand our volunteer force. As a Caring Soles volunteer you would gain valuable experience and skills, insight and understanding in the importance of good footcare, support your local community, be part of a popular service and bring confidence to people and their feet. Comments from our volunteers include: “I feel happy to be part of this really important service.” “Many service users like to have a good chat and for those living alone it’s a valued social time too.” “Making a positive impact is why I like volunteering with Caring Soles.
