We are thrilled that this sport is on the rise and that fans and racers are so enthusiastic. After the Time Trials on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 the 12th Annual Parker 425 “Downtown Experience” will be in full swing by noon. Please come visit our downtown merchants and meet the racers and some of our local folks. We put this party together for everyone! There will be food, live music and other vendors. We are super-excited to be bringing even more race vehicles down to this event! I love to see the kids interacting with the racers! In Parker, our kids play all the sports just like other kids around the country. But I know that a lot of our kids aspire to be off-road racers more than in any other community! Off-road racers are their heroes! On Thursday, January 23, check out the PAACE Youth Off-Road Experience display in the Event Expo at the BlueWater. Kids will meet the racers and have a great time getting photos and autographs with the drivers. We hope you enjoy your time in our community and are able take part in all of the events that make this race so great! We want to live up to Best in the Desert, Founder Casey Folks’ description of the town: “Parker, Arizona: The Off-Road Capital of the USA!” Mayor Dan Beaver Since 2010, the overall race winner of the BlueWater Resort & Casino Parker “425” is presented with the Manny Esquerra Valor Award. This prestigious award was established in recognition of Manny’s legendary contribution to the sport of off-road desert racing. It is a perpetual trophy on permanent display at the BlueWater Resort & Casino. Every year, the overall race winner’s name is added to the trophy.
