7. Student Testimony

Having been through the program myself, I attest it was the most amazing time of my being, not only learning Chinese, but immersing myself in Taiwanese life. Seeing through their eyes and understanding who they are. The things I saw and the people I met, making timeless friends and memories. With my only regret, that I cannot stay longer and have Taiwan become a bigger part of my life.

Lucas Thomas 湯陸凱 After arriving in the country, I've never felt more welcomed in a place. The Taiwanese people love foreigners, and are eager to help you out with anything.

Allison Gray 高以安

10 NCKU CLC 20140825

I chose to study Chinese here because the teachers here are highly qualified—enthusiastic, professional, and caring the needs of students.

Aaron Hebenstreit 范安然

Having a language exchange partner was the best part of the program. It was support for our language skills and homework, and an excellent way to discover the area and to get advice on holidays like travelling to the hot springs and going to Taipei for New Years. Showing us the best places to get food and the ordering system were definitely the most useful things they showed us, and allowed us to feel more confident later. They also answered any cultural questions we had, which naturally expanded our cultural knowledge.
