Because it's only giving it to you for 7 days or a month. Then they will charge you

If you just want the free trial and is not interested in paying, cancel the free trial as soon as it started. So, you don't need to remember to cancel it. Even though you cancel it on the rst day, you will be able to access it until the last day of the free trial. So, it's better to cancel the membership as soon as you signed up for it. Just my recommendation!

It sounds like what PBS is oering is a limited version of their content oerings. Thanks for the question; we'll specify in the article.

Some of those you can watch on the website or through their app

PBS does give a lot of things for free, but a subscription to PBS Passport is required for access to other things and their back catalog. $5 per month is a great value if it's what you want and $60 per year is even better.

David Beitelspacher 03/23/2020 at 11:15 pm

When I used the PBS app, I can watch content for 7 days after airing. Otherwise you need to pay the $60 membership for the year to unlock the content.
