AOD Timothy Award honors our teens for following the teachings of St. Paul Last Sunday aernoon, eight teens from our parish were honored during the Timothy Youth Appreciaon Awards for their out- standing efforts in leadership, Chrisan service and commitment to parish, family, community and school. Hosted by the Youth Ministers of the Downriver Vicariate for the Archdiocese of Detroit, the annual event is rooted in St. Paul’s leer to his young apostle Timothy: “Let no one look down on you because of your youth, but set an example for those who be- lieve.” The program was held this year at St. Church in Riverview. Our teens were among hundreds of their peers who were honored this spring at Timothy Awards celebraons in vicariates throughout the archdiocese. The Youth Ministry Commiee selected the following to receive a Cerficate of Appreciaon: Emily Chesney, Alexandra Foy, Alys- sa Geschke, Paige Harding, Joseph Misovich, Haley Stecki-Jacek and Hannah Stecki-Jacek . Shannon Carr has been selected to receive the AOD Award for Excellence. The teens are acvely parcipang in all facets of parish and school life. They are lectors, Eucharisc ministers, mentors for the Confirmaon program and sponsors of the Rite of Chrisan Iniaon for Adults. They parcipate in ChristNet, Young Neighbors in Ac- on, Special Olympics and Students for Life. They aend the AOD Rainbow Conference and Naonal Catholic Youth Conference.
