AOD Timothy Award honors our teens for following the teachings of St. Paul Last Sunday a ernoon, eight teens from our parish were honored during the Timothy Youth Apprecia on Awards for their out- standing efforts in leadership, Chris an service and commitment to parish, family, community and school. Hosted by the Youth Ministers of the Downriver Vicariate for the Archdiocese of Detroit, the annual event is rooted in St. Paul’s le er to his young apostle Timothy: “Let no one look down on you because of your youth, but set an example for those who be- lieve.” The program was held this year at St. Cyprian Church in Riverview. Our teens were among hundreds of their peers who were honored this spring at Timothy Awards celebra ons in vicariates throughout the archdiocese. The Youth Ministry Commi ee selected the following to receive a Cer ficate of Apprecia on: Emily Chesney, Alexandra Foy, Alys- sa Geschke, Paige Harding, Joseph Misovich, Haley Stecki-Jacek and Hannah Stecki-Jacek . Shannon Carr has been selected to receive the AOD Award for Excellence. The teens are ac vely par cipa ng in all facets of parish and school life. They are lectors, Eucharis c ministers, mentors for the Confirma on program and sponsors of the Rite of Chris an Ini a on for Adults.
