Oropeza said she hopes to give that knowledge and perspective back to her city. “I see myself as a resource in the sense,” she said. “Of course all of this helps me grow as an individual by learning about the community and going to events. But I also feel like because I go to these things I’m able to tell the community about these events that are being offered to them.” And that’s what makes Anaheim beautiful, said Oropeza, whose mom is from Mexico and whose whole family speaks Spanish. “I really love living in Anaheim because of the
