Members of the national political media are actually blaming President Trump for their own fake news. I agree with Washington Post Deputy Editorial Staff Editor Jackson Diehl that to "report the routine as scandalous" destroys the media's credibility. I would add that this reputation of "the national political media" is one of the reasons Trump was elected. In this election, the Washington Post, New York Times, NBC, CBS, ABC, etc., etc., were all on the ticket as insider elites. I disagree with Diehl's presumption that this media can repair their reputation if the Trump administration would just work with reporters to explain their policies. The media is their enemy, not to be trusted with policy expla- nations over martinis. God's talking to me. All anyone really needs is an open ear and some faith. How it usually starts is that I may first randomly open my Bible and try to find a Bible verse I believe helps people, and relates to today. I write that Bible verse in my notebook and I also write what it means to me. I could write for many hours to come, but lunch is not that long. I don't do this every day at lunch, but I've done it many times. I've also written many things other than this that I believe God wanted me to write. I've created interviews, worked on a story, and expressed my thoughts in words. I have done this and more as I simply read in the Bible where God has led me. It feels extraordinary as God has used this way to help me in my times of need. I know what I do may not seem that much, but think of it this way. I use my time at lunch to interact with God, and as I feel God in my heart, I learn things that have changed my life. Contributed photo That's all I have to say.
